Mitt Romney loyalists are trying to gin up the narrative that Republicans just can't get enough of Romney.
Democrats dont want to be associated with Barack Obama right now, but Republicans are dying to be associated with Mitt Romney, Spencer Zwick, "a longtime Romney confidant who chaired his national finance council," claimed to the Washington Post. The Chamber of Commerce, which has vowed to wage war on the Tea Party and push through amnesty legislation, glowingly praised Romney, alleging he would be in a "commanding position" if he entered the 2016 race.
Romney is reportedly set to make trips to West Virginia, North Carolina, Arkansas, Colorado, and Virginia to campaign for Republicans. Yet besides the media, most of the people clamoring for another Romney "comeback" are his loyalists and closest advisers, who defied all statistical models to lose an election many thought should never have been lost.
In a July article for Politico Magazine, Emil Henry, who "served in multiple roles in the 2012 campaign, including adviser to the economic team, television surrogate and fundraiser," laughingly alleged that "Romney is re-emerging as the de facto leader of the Republican Party."

I think he’s got a PAC with massive $$$.
All campaigns run on money.
Ted Cruz or Sarah Palin could raise $100 million in a month if they declared.
I can’t WAIT to get Herpes!
ME FIRST!!! NO CUTTIN’ IN LINE..!!!!
‘Republicans Are Dying to Be Associated with Him’
Not me and I can safely say my whole family.
This is one of the most ridiculous RINO fantasies I’ve ever heard.
His flipflopping and liberal tendencies almost rival Kerry’s.
Dying is the only way I’d be associated with him.
At least herpes is somewhat treatable. LOL
Then a lot of Republican politicians needing money will like them too.
I’m now convinced that Milt has hired 0’s headline writer.
Republicans are dying to lose again!
“Why not Bob Dole?”
really.. that could be his slogan after “I’m Bob Dole?”
I raised just over $40,000 for Fred Thompson in that brief time that he was in the race. Imagine what I could do for either of them, given enough time. It isn’t as hard as people seem to think it is.
So let me get this straight, they want to run a two time loser?!?!? Geez...
“Why not put a 90 yr old in the White House”
(I assume his VP would be scrutinized thoroughly, LOL)
He also lost to the lesser Kennedy.
Will this guy NEVER go away? The perpetual candidate, never winning, just keeping others from winning. What a selfish creep
That’s about the size of it
Saw a good one the other day.
“Both Mitt and Hillary are past their ‘sell-by’ date”.
Works for me.
The economy is a fraction of what it was then, at least for those not affiliated with the Baraqqi regime.
Christians are not going to turn out and vote for a Mormon just like last election.
George HW Bush can still serve another term, is he running?
I can see a 69 yr old Hillary shouting
Don’t vote for some old guy!
Willard 2016, because Zero needs a third term.
This is one time when I think the Dems will be tied up voting in their own primaries (Hillary vs Lizzie, etc) and not so many doing an Op Chaos on the R side.
>> Republicans are dying...
You can cut that sentence off right there and disregard the rest.
The Republican party IS dying — spiritually, morally, ethically, and constitutionally.
They believe Big Government “of the special interests, for the special interests, by the special interests” is their cause.
They do NOT believe in righteousness, in any of its manifestations.
What is Dan Quayle up to? LOL
He’s out in Phoenix making the big bucks.
A major domo at the private equity giant Cerberus.
Good Lord, make it stop.
Republicans maybe, but not conservatives
He was born worth about $100-200 million, IIRC.
The party establishment will be taking up the slack with their Operation: Chaos. They want another lying leftist garbage bag loser as the nominee to go up against the Butcheress of Benghazi or Lieawatha.
This is Romney and his wife. They’ll never go away voluntarily.
This was our first evening of Bible School. . .these kids and unfortunately their parents have no clue what is going on in the world. Taught about “putting on the armor of God” Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to stand against the tricks of the devil.
There’s a whole lot of trickin’ goin’ on out there. Especially in the last election.
Throw this bastard’s name on the trash heap along with Bob Dole and John McCain. I say bastards, not because they aren’t good, upstanding American people, but because they refused to fight the good fight when they were thrown, at their own insistence, into the breach.
How dare any of them ever be mentioned again in the same breath as “winning”.
Good Lord, make it stop.
He is going to . . .and soon! http://www.patburt.com/
Let’s do a FReeper poll between:
They are getting more and more worried about Ted’s effectiveness. So, the wagons are being circled around a guy who lost a cinch race b/c of timidity.
haha. I haven’t read anything here at FR for awhile and today I look and here we have it!!! The premiere conservative website with all of its main characters going BONKERS over a washpo piece with “reportedly” and “allegedly”........nothing gets the group of main characters here fired up like a ‘story’ about Romney, Bush or really anyone else who isn’t their number “one” choice for President.
Let’s see, honestly, how long until one of the main characters here on the premiere conservative website claims that they would rather vote for Hillary than elect “X”. The odd thing is, “X” varies from main character to main character......there is zero consensus among the main characters, just absolute and unadulterated HATRED towards anyone who dares suggest that a republican would be a BETTER President than the ultimate liberal who will be on the ballot.
It sure as heck is odd.
Most of those are states he carried. to that extent it makes sense. having romney on the campaign trail reinforces the principle that Obama is the real issue.
it will probably induce and enhance a national case of buyer’s remorse.
Unfortunately, Milt has his supporters here.
Milt is a member of the GOP-wing of the Democrat Party. We tried that already.
