Michael Dukakis: Donald Trump is 'nuts' (Another left-handed endorsement)
CNN Politics ^ | March 18, 2016 | Eugene Scott

Former Democratic presidential candidate Michael Dukakis called Donald Trump "nuts" Friday over his views on immigration, adding that he believes Bernie Sanders should stay in the Democratic primary fight.

"I think he's nuts," the 1988 Democratic nominee told CNN's Wolf Blitzer. "He's the grandson of German immigrants. He ought to be ashamed of himself."

"I'm very proud of my background," said Dukakis, whose parents immigrated from Greece. "This is the guy who's the grandson of somebody who came over from Germany. And I don't know what he's talking about for one thing. It's preposterous."

The former Massachusetts governor -- whose failed presidential bid will be prominently featured in CNN's new episode of "Race for the White House" that airs Sunday at 9 p.m. ET -- also called Trump's plan to build a wall "ridiculous."(continued)

What is it to you Trumpet? Or do I need to “get on the Trump train or get run over?”

Wow. How insulting of me to even ask.

It wouldn’t be the first time I’ve heard a variation of that question.

His Mother was Scottish.

It wouldn’t be the first time I’ve heard a variation of that question.

And yet you don't seem to have an answer.

So I'll ask again.

What is the end game for you? cruise has NO CHANCE to win a majority of delegates. And even the numb-nuts like romney and linda who "support" him just want Trump to lose. cruise WILL NEVER win a brokered convention.

Seriously, what is your path to victory? Or are you for a GOPe nominee?

>>>also called Trump’s plan to build a wall “ridiculous<<<

Dukakis, the pussy who said he was against the Death Penalty for someone who might Murder his Wife, would just borrow a Tank and smash his way through The Great Wall of Trump so the little Brown People could escape the Auschwitz of the Southwest, Mexico..

Well yes....
His father was German. His name was pronounced ‘Drumpf’ in Pfälzich. I’m from the Pfalz and speak Pfälzich (Plattdeisch). From what I understand, the name has always been Trump, but was pronounced ‘Drumpf’.

Trump made up some story on one single occasion about Scots in the family (I suspect he’s talking about his mom’s family).

The Trump family goes back to the Grandfather who packed up in the Pfalz area of Germany (central region) in 1885. It should be noted....he LEGALLY immigrated into the US...entering the front door, doing the paperwork, and passing the physical.

Frederick Trump, would take up the barbering profession in NY City for a couple of years, and then moved to Seattle....where he leased a restaurant building. Three years later....he opens a hotel in a mining area of Washington state, which makes some money. Then he takes off for Alaska for the Gold Rush, but instead of mining....he opens another restaurant, and eventually another hotel. Somewhere along the way, he also operated a brothel (which is an irritant in the legacy).

So, by 1902, this young man had grown awful business smart....made a fair amount of money, and just wanted to return to Germany after seventeen years in the US...and settle back into the Pfalz (Germany). Oddly, they didn’t take kindly to the fact that he’d avoided the military obligation, and eventually said that he could visit, but he could not stay. He was deemed...an American.

Frederick accepted this. I think if he’d stayed there and the Germans approved his situation...he would have been fairly wealthy and well-off in the local situation. Germans generally dislike this kind of disruption into their sense of a level playing field. Frederick Trump was competitive and business-smart.

Frederick comes back to Queens, NY...running a restaurant during this period and conducting some real estate investments. He dies in 1918 (the flu). His wife takes over the business (she was smart too), and the real estate concept took off in the 1920s for the family.

And I should note....this little village in the Pfalz where Fred came from....it’s also a village where the Heinz family (the ketchup family) came from.
