Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has made his strongest statement yet in favor of his party's presidential nominee, telling supporters in his home state that "we need a new president, Donald Trump, to be the most powerful Republican in America."

Right. But, nevertheless, McConnell is privy to internal polling, and this indicates the polling is for Trump is GOOD.

The GOPe thought 3 weeks ago the smart move was to distance from the loser. Now when Trump wins he owes them squat.
So, McConnell is only worried about retaining his Senate leadership. He’s still not supporting Trump.

Still and nonetheless, McConnell, like Ryan, must go from his leadership position.
And he won’t leave of his own accord.
I’m beginning to think that this whole Hillary wiener scandal has spooked a lot of the establishment to the point that maybe they think they should try to get on the new boss’ good side while they still can.
