Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has made his strongest statement yet in favor of his party's presidential nominee, telling supporters in his home state that "we need a new president, Donald Trump, to be the most powerful Republican in America." McConnell, who has warned repeatedly that Republicans could lose control of the Senate this year, has been silent on Trump in recent weeks as he has come under fire for his statements about women and his claims that the election is rigged against him...

ISIS militants besieging a Palestinian refugee camp in Syria's capital have savagely beheaded the leaders of a Hamas-linked group opposed to President Bashar Assad, it has been claimed. ISIS' decision to publicly execute the men - as well as reports of the deaths of dozens more Palestinians during clashes inside Yarmouk - has prompted outrage in Gaza, where hundreds of furious Hamas supporters swore bloody revenge on the terror group during a march yesterday.

Why are we on high alert today, after al Qaeda was ‘beaten’? Because US inaction and massive jailbreaks have freed thousands of terrorists We may be winning the War on Terrorists, but increasingly we’re losing the terrorists we’ve captured on the battlefield, dooming us to fight them all over again. The metric the Obama adminstration uses to measure success in the war is the number of al Qaeda operatives and other high-value terrorists killed or captured. “Al Qaeda is on the path to defeat,” the president said last fall, “and Osama bin Laden is dead.” Obama also said the upper...

The online video that launched former U.S. Rep Anthony Weiner's New York City mayoral campaign Wednesday featured someone who until now had played a limited public role in his political life: his wife, Huma Abedin. Ms. Abedin opens the video in a shot that shows her and Mr. Weiner feeding breakfast to their son, and she closes it sitting beside the candidate on the stoop of a brownstone. "We love this city, and no one will work harder to make it better than Anthony," Ms. Abedin says to the camera. As a longtime aide to former U.S. Secretary of State...

Muslims accuse GOP congresswoman of equating Muslims with terrorists and disregarding them. In North Carolina’s 2nd congressional district, many Muslims are, apparently, downright angry with newly elected GOP congresswoman Renee Ellmers for what they allege is her disrespect towards them. The anger that the Muslim community in the state apparently has for the congresswoman is based on an election ad she used that involved the planned Ground Zero mosque. Even though she only used the term "victory mosque" in said ad, she was slandered by the Muslims for equating them with terrorists. The ad didn’t hurt Ellmers at all since...

My article on anti-Muslim rhetoric was posted on the Free Republic site with the heading *barf alert* http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2385780/posts Here are a few of the comments that were left in response to that posting. I believe that such comments are an important indicator of a general level of anti-Muslim feeling in our country. At least we need to be aware of how a segment of the population of America feels about Muslims. Really. They haven’t heard nothin’ yet These people are nothing but the domestic political arm of their terrorist co-religionists. Yep. Another major attack and I predict all freakin hell...

Anti Muslim Rhetoric Reaching a Dangerous Level by Sheila Musaji After the Fort Hood Tragedy, every national Muslim organization and most local organizations condemned the actions of Maj. Hasan without qualification. When a Yemen based cleric, Anwar al Awlaki praised the shooting, they also repudiated al Awlaki’s comments. Many Muslims have spoken up condemning this tragedy, as they have previously spoken up against all forms of extremism and terrorism. The President of the United States, top military Generals, and the Secretary of the Homeland Security Dept. have all appealed for reason and asked people not to turn this into blaming...

Washington - As President Obama prepares for the highly anticipated speech he will deliver to the Muslim world from Cairo in early June, new polling from Arab countries suggests he has his work cut out for him. Only a small percentage of Arabs appear to have been won over by Barack Obama. There has been some slight improvement in US standing during the past year, based in part on the departure of President Bush and in part on Obama's policies, such as announcing a withdrawal from Iraq and a desire to shutter the Guantánamo detention facility. But one new poll...
