Senate Democrats and senior diplomats in the State Department are pushing for U.S. ratification of something called CEDAW. Pronounced See-Daw, it's a United Nations treaty more formally known as the Convention on the Elimination Against All Forms of Discrimination Against Women. The Equal Rights Amendment multiplied a thousand-fold, CEDAW is the most radical treaty the U.S. has ever considered ratifying.

Then we must move fast, right now, to stop this from happening. The Senate Foreign Relations Committee is planning hearings for ratification on June 13. Dear President Bush,
Members of the U.S. Senate and diplomats in the State Department want the U.S. to ratify the UN's Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW). As an American citizen, I urge you in the strongest possible terms to stop this immediately and to formally "un-sign CEDAW."

CEDAW promotes prostitutes and condemns mothers. This is stunning.
This shocking treaty must be stopped and those pushing for its ratification must be made to explain why they would want the U.S. to be subject to such a dangerous document.

On the positive side, even Sen. Feinstein's female assistant was pleasantly receptive to my phone call and assurance that American women will not appreciate having the Senate vote to let the UN into their homes to strip American Moms of "Mother's Day." (^:
