Homosexual agenda promoted in the new children’s movie “Good Boy”

Posted on 10/12/2003 6:17:53 PM PDT by mandingo republican

The homosexual agenda is being promoted in the new Jim Henson Productions children’s movie titled “Good Boy”. I took my niece and nephew to see this cute movie about dogs who talk. It’s a kids movie overall but I was shocked to find how the leftist Hollywood establishment tries in very subtle ways to get its cultural agenda across. I don’t know if the kids picked it up, but I suspect that it’s been done before and it will continue to happen in the future. It’s like a veiled form of conditioning – a brainwashing of sorts, designed to alter perceptions of the world and culture around us. It can be seen in television shows – especially in programming for children. Today on the Disney channel one of the shows was on dating – the kids where about 13 or 14. My 7 year old niece was watching it. Gone are the days of Father Knows Best or even the corniness of the Brady Bunch.

In the movie there was a 30 something man who owned a dog which the little boy (the lead character in the movie) walked daily. No big deal right? The only thing wrong with this was that in many later scenes the man was seen living in his home with another man. They were always together exactly like the other married couples in the movie. You would see them cleaning the pool, going to work, or decorating their home. I thought I was seeing things, until I asked my wife if she picked up the same thing. She said yes, and along with my sister she could not understand why this was needed in a children’s movie.

Is nothing scared anymore? Are we that far gone as a culture that even in a movie which we take our children we continuously have to be bombarded by images and messages that homosexuality is a normal and accepted lifestyle? I just thought the showing of this homosexual couple was a very subversive trick to get kids on board with a liberal mindset at a very early age. I want to take the kids to see an innocent movie about dogs who talk – not a movie about how OK homosexual marriage is.

I don't know.

I think that's a very honest answer, thank you.

I find it hard to fathom that someone would choose to be homosexual.

As you've probably read from some of my posts, the experts state the major factor in determining homosexuality is environment. The links in post 70 have a lot to say on the matter.

I would agree it's hard to fathom why someone would choose to be homosexual. With the experts stating environment is the major factor in determining homosexuality, perhaps choosing to be homosexual isn't the right terminology. I encourage you to check out this post and this post as well.

In the above posts you'll see a good summary of what the experts have said on homosexuality. Now, what I find interesting is none of the information in the above posts ever seems to make it into main stream media, even though it's what the experts are saying. I know you're an intelligent guy and we just disagree on some things. (IMO, healthy disagreement is a good thing.) Do you have any thoughts on why the information contained in the above links, from the experts on the matter, appears to be ignored by mainstream media?

I'll be gone until late tonight or tomorrow.

He lives to spread misery everywhere he goes...a mediocre mind and chronic dysphoria (among other things) is a bad combination. I got two emails from different people intimating some other stuff about him and his obsession with the homosexual agenda, but who knows?

The one thing we do know is that he's a blowhard and obnoxious.

I was looking forward to taking the kids to this movie. Now I don't know. My kids don't yet know anything about homosexuality. Would they notice?

I've also noticed that those who seem to be warring against homosexuality the hardest, tend to be those who themselves are fighting the battle against personal homosexuality, either consciously or unconsciously.

I hear that occasionally. Unfortunately folks who make such statements never seem interested in what the experts have to say about homosexuality.

I'm going from experience here: we had, and still have a certain anti-gay activist here in the DC 'burbs, who is both SCREAMINGLY gay and so far in denial that it isn't funny anymore.

As for asking what the "experts think" about homosexuality, I could give three-fifths of a squirt of lukewarm urine for it: I just don't care. And 99 44/100th percent of these so-called experts are either gay themselves, and thus biased, or pushing one agenda or another, and still biased.

Either way, they're selling something that I have no need or interest in, in the first place.

It was definately in there. My family saw it too.

Is nothing scared anymore?

It depends on who you ask. If you ask a leftist, one sacred tenet is that you do everything you can to further the notion that perversion is normal.

Shalom.

What overt signs of homosexuality were displayed in this movie?

None. That was their attempt to slide it under the radar. If it had been blatant enough, everyone would have caught it and complained.

The intention was to make it accepted without actually stating a case, starting a discussion, or - HORRORS - actually investigating whether homosexuality is acceptable.

Shalom.

It kills me what kind of hysteria some people whip themselves up to, its a freaking crappy kids flick.

I see no hysteria in the post.

I have seen "Good Boy". Have you?

It was definately a gay couple - and definately an attempt to make kids think that homosexuals are normal.

Shalom.

IMHO, the best place/time for your kids to see this movie is with you. Let's face it, they are going to be exposed to all sorts of things in a positive light that we totally disagree with.
Instead of ignoring it, I always made a point to discuss those things with my kids. Then explain to in straight forward terms just like you have done on this board of whats going on.

I think they become very savvy to these tricks.

Well, I lived for six months with another guy in a rented house in college; even shared a bathroom, and I'm as hetero as you.

There is no way for you to go see the movie now without prejudice. I saw the movie with no desire to see anything in it but the cute dogs.

These guys were not college students.

These guys were not roommates.

This was not a rental neighborhood.

The context of all other non-singles was "family."

It didn't take much to realize that the two were gay.

If you didn't notice in the film, you would have noticed in the credits where "Wilson's dad" and "Wilson's other dad" were listed. (Wilson was their dog)

Shalom.

Social engineering have been going on for many generation in our media. That intentional programing hidden agenda can be good sometimes, if it helped rectify certain intolerance. However, the liberals take it "another notch" to the point that smart consevatives get sick of this constant poundings.

I think you should document that.

That's like saying anyone against rape is a closet rapist. It is absolutely stupid, and saying it makes you one of the stupedist people on earth unless you have some serious documentation.

Shalom.

"You've got to be kidding me. Che Guevara?!?"

I saw this "November" film. There were "animal rights" posters, anti-fur posters, and other similar stuff in the backgrounds. I saw the Guevara poster too. Actually not uncommon to see nowadays in movies. Product placement is not just Coke and Chevy.

Presenting homosexual marriage as normal to little kids does not surprise me. Movies push ultra-violence at kids, why not "gay rights", gun control, and greenism too?

To quote someone from "dee-you", "Well, they can have the Senate. We still have the courts and the media."

Right, 1st homosexual rights THEN inter-spieces rights... I can see it now in 10 years a love affair movie for kids between a boy and his dog... And the proverbial "He(the boy) was just BORN that way, its in his genes"...

After all what business is it of the gov't what a man does in the privacy of his own BARN.... BIZARR you say !..

Well, alrighty then, you are just not progessive enough...

And that's great. If every parent was like you that way, our kids would grow up to be much smarter, much stronger, and much less naive.

But the problem is that a lot of parents totally miss the gay subtext and assume it's a safe movie for their kids to see. Sure, the parents are dumb for not seeing through this trick, but it's very scandalous of Disney or anyone for that matter to take advantage of a parent's ignorance or indifference to exploit children. Unfortunately, we can't censor them; that would be contrary to everything we stand for. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't voice our opinions on the matter.

Wanted: For promoting a homosexual agenda. Two men living together. Eating together, going out together. The horrors!!

"On November 13th, Felix Unger was asked to remove himself from his place of residence. That request came from his wife. Deep down he knew she was right. But he also knew that someday he would return to her. With nowhere else to go, he appeared at the home of his childhood friend, Oscar Madison. Sometime earlier, Madison's wife had thrown him out, requesting that he never return. Can two divorced men share an apartment without driving each other crazy?"

I think your a little behind the times
when was The Odd Couple on the air?
A more innocent time...homosexual terrorists were just starting the agenda to force their lifestyle as "normal" (marriage & adoption included)on the 98% of heterosexual Americans

What you think is irrelevant. I've met 5 or so "virulent" anti-gay activists, and every single one of them set off my "gaydar". I've reported what I've observed, and my reactions. Your milage may vary. . .
