Statement by Jim Robinson Regarding the State of our Free Republic

I happen to believe that Bill and Hillary Clinton were the worst presidents in our nation's history. Corruption, government abuse, treason and daily scandal were the norm under their rule. Bill is a useful idiot who can't keep his mouth shut or his zipper up and Hillary is an America hating godless communist power monger. These are my personal opinions.

Bill and Hillary Clinton and their minions still wield a tremendous amount of power and influence over the Democrat Party, the socialist movement and the national press. Their goals are to completely eliminate our rights to free speech, free religion, freedom to keep and bear arms, etc., and these are just for starters.

I believe the overall goal of their movement is to completely do away with the U.S. Constitution and in its place, install socialist/totalitarian rule over America. Furthermore, I believe they wish to do away with our national sovereignty altogether and subject America to domination by the U.N. and other world bodies.

Now you may call me a nutcase if you wish, but that's the way I see it. I believe that in the last century, FDR, LBJ, RMN, Carter, Clinton, et al, successfully introduced many socialist programs into our government and our way of life and with the help of the media and atheist institutions like the ACLU began systematically destroying the fabric of our society. In the process, they've moved both of our major political parties way over to the left. They (the liberals/marxists/socialists) have almost completely taken over all of our government institutions and agencies, the judiciary, the press, the Universities, our education systems, our charities, even our churches.

I believe that as long as Bill and Hillary Clinton and their like minded socialist minions have any influence or power over the government or either of the two major political parties, our nation and all of our freedoms are in extreme danger.

Free Republic was created in 1996 as a place where liberty-minded individuals could gather and share the news and discuss the Clinton scandals and other government abuses. I had hoped that the truth of the Clinton corruption would come out in time to prevent his re-election in 1996. Didn't happen. So we moved on. If we couldn't block his re-election, well, perhaps we could help with his impeachment. He was impeached, but we could not remove him.

So next, we decide to do all in our power to ensure that his second in command does not get to the Whitehouse. Even though GWB was not my first choice, once he won the Republican nomination, most of us rallied behind him and fought like the dickens to get him elected. Then we fought again to block the attempted Gore coup d'etat. Our Free Republic chapters mobilized all across the nation and there were thousands of rallies and protests in hundreds of cities objecting loudly to Gore's attempted takeover.

Then we all thanked God when Bush was finally declared the winner and off to Washington we went to celebrate at the Free Republic George W. Bush Inaugural Ball (I).

Then we all thank God again when after the cowardly attack on our nation by a gang of murderous international terrorists we realize how close we were to complete collapse and national destruction had the socialist U.N. loving Al Gore been in charge. Thank God for President Bush!

And I haven't even mentioned how evil I truly believe the official Democrat Party platform is. Here's a partial laundry list of what the Democrat Party supports and promotes: abortion; homosexuality; feminaziism; environmentalism; government control over every aspect of our lives and society; socialized health care; disarmament of the American people; subjugation of the U.S. to the U.N.; the complete elimination of our national sovereignty; complete destruction of our basic traditional family unit; loss of personal freedoms and individual liberty. In other words, complete destruction of our Constitution and Bill of Rights and our American way of life.

I came to the conclusion several years ago that there is no way this republic can survive if we allow the Democrat Party to maintain control over our government and other institutions. If America is to survive as we know it, Bill and Hillary Clinton and all the current democrat/socialist power mongers who share their philosophy and visions for a socialist America and socialist world must be soundly rejected and defeated at the polls.

And not just at the presidential level. They must be rejected and removed from both houses of Congress and from our State houses and local legislatures. For example, if we cannot remove them from the Senate, then there is no hope for reestablishing a judiciary built on the original intent of the Constitution and the rule-of-law. The liberals and socialists must be rooted out of our congress and our judiciary. Our free republic, our freedom and even liberty itself depends on it.

Just my humble opinion and why I act the way I do. I see the Democrat Party as domestic enemy number one of the Constitution and therefor it is my sworn enemy. And, in my eyes, anyone who helps to elect members of the Democrat party are aiding and abetting the enemy.

Futhermore, I believe wholeheartedly in the original intent of our Founding Fathers and in the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights and the Declaration of Independence.

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness."

God gave us these unalienable rights and they can never be taken from us by man or government. And we are ALL to be treated justly and equally under the law.

"That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed."

Yes, the Founders established a government and set forth the plan for us to govern ourselves.

"That whenever any form of government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness."

The government has become destructive to these ends. One of the main purposes of our government is to defend, preserve and protect our liberty. It has been doing just the opposite. Therefore, it is our right and duty to alter or abolish it. I propose doing so by destroying enemy number one of the Constitution, the corrupt socialist Democrat Party.

The negative people sometimes take over threads, just as they try to dominate the airwaves in political life.

Thankfully the upbeat message of President Bush, and the creation of Free Republic, have given those of us who believe in the goals you espouse a place to go to further those goals.

I thank you for your efforts and hard work and dedication and creativity from the bottom of my heart. Without this place, I would feel I had lost my mind when I see the destruction the Democrats have done to this country.

Coming to Free Republic, it is refreshing to see that others feel as I/we do and that has saved my sanity and I have been happy to find ways to contribute to the common cause.

Republicans in leadership positions with spines would be nice. Spines would make them more effective... So far, I'm not too impressed with Frist's leadership - at least with regards to judicial nominees. When it comes to appointments, Daschle is still running the show, it seems like, and I am deeply saddened about that...

Conservatism relies on tradition, the beliefs and practices of a people for guidance. In our case, the United States was founded as a Christian nation and upon the commandments as guiding principles. While it is remotely possible that an athiest would adhere to those principles without belief in God, I'd be sorely pressed to explained the contradiction.

I understood what you meant. I tried to counter some of this RINO business.

As to the media and conservatives getting into the business of news, there is a simple explanation.

Kids get out of college with their brains turned to mush by commie proffessors.

They go into journalism to change the world. To make it some sort of utopia.

The Democrats sell utopia like snake oil salesmen.

To be honest, now seems like a better time than any to go over the head of the leftist media. We have Fox News and we have the internet and we have talk radio. CNN and the rest of the liberal media are slowly losing sway.

This is a nation of the people by the people and for the people.

Elected officials in the USA will do what a majority of the voters want. You wish for someone who will go by his principles and what the public wants be damned.

There are men you would like. Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin were two such men. They did what they thought was the thing to do. To hell with public opinion.

The beauty of our system is all politicians have to bow to the public will. A leftist socialist Clinton will sign welfare reform And a Bush will sign lefist educational programs if that is what the public wants.

The great thing about Free Republic and the only reason I support it and post, is it is a chance to reach the lurkers.. it is a chance to convince some of the pubic to my views.

For decades the left has controlled the media. They have controlled what our public knows. Free Republic is a way to redress that imbalance. For if we can educate and persuade the public then under our system of government the job is done. We are a nation of the people by the people and for the people. It is not a nation by the leaders for the leaders and of the leaders. Thank goodnes.. That is what makes us a great nation.

The two parties are not cast in stone. If one can get 70 percent of the voters for anything both parties will fight each other to do it first. It is an axiom. Where the voters go the parties will follow.

People who think the solution is to elect the right people have it all wrong. Convince most voters to your position and both parties will fight to do what you want. No one need even ask them. When the voters agree with you they will elect candidates who willdo your will. That is all their is too it.

Put your faith in the people. Work to teach and educate. If you are successful, no one will need worry about what George Bush will do. He will do what the pubic wants.

The problem with principled men who do as they think fit, is they will not change when wrong. We the people have no control over principled men. Men that will do as the public wants.. even whe the public is wrong.. that is our salvation.

The beauty of our system is not that the people are always right.. they are often wrong. The beauty of our system is that when we go down the wrong path we can retrace and start anew. That is what Jim Rob is pushing.

That is the way to make a difference. You get the most of what you can and you work to move public opinions.

When public opinion is changed the government follows. That is how itworks. It has worked that way for over 200 years.

You, of course, are talking about actions which protect the Second Amendment, the traditional family unit, and unborn children in the womb, for starters. And since this is the kind of stuff that you fear will "turn the 50% middle of the road voters into socialists", then I would say you would be better suited advising strategy to the Democrats.

Losing an argument, Libertarians turn to their favorite strategy, putting words into your mouth.

Yes, Bush could use he Reagan strategy, except for the fact that THE MEDIA CAUGHT ON TO WHAT REAGAN DID! Because some of his advisors wrote books about how a picture trumped reporters' words, and because he was so successful at going over their heads, the democrats and the reporters caught on!

You talk as if they're some kind of nine-headed hyper-intelligent intergalactic terrors... They're just reporters.

Stop treating them like you're afraid of them.

Look them in the eye, and say exactly what you mean.

Tomorrow, get up, and do it again.

The next day, do it again.

And again.

And again

After the first week, the shock has worn off, and people will actually consider what you had to say.

Honesty... integrity.. truth... that is what will win the day.

Not mealy-mouthed media gamesmanship.

Bush cannot do what Reagan did.

You have a talent for understatement.

Did you miss the speech where the media refused to cover it?

No wonder.

It's all pandering pablum.

Do you not know that the networks, not the White House, determine coverage?

Then give 'em something to report.

Bush has had to fly a damn plane onto an aircraft carrier to get some coverage! Apparently you think that a president can now wave his magic wand and get air time. Not in these times, OWK.

The founders disapproved of income taxation. (which is certainly theft).

The founders disapproved of ANY governmental redistribution of wealth. (which is certainly theft)

The founders disapproved of farm subsidies, arts subsidies, industry subsidies (which are certainly theft).

The founders disapproved of government prohibition of food or drink (which is certainly coercion).

The founders disapproved of restriction and regulation of firearms ownership (which is certainly coercion).

The founders disapproved of robbing citizens to pay for "foreign aid" (which is certainly theft).

The founders disapproved of federal mandates, on the number of gallons your toilet may legally flush (which is certainly coercion).

(Do you think the federal government should be eliminated?)

I believe the federal government is 20 times larger than it is constitutionally empowered to be.

Reduce it to it's constitutional limits, and I'd be just fine with it.

Make it a voluntary association, and I'd be overjoyed.

OWK  this is not said enough, you don't mind if I parrot it any chance I get? You say it so much better than I.   I would add that if the Federal Government would get out of the States business, the change in would be swift and dramatic, It was the first thing that came to mind when I first saw the Blue and Red map of the 2000 election.

I doubt it would generate enough revenue. Anyway, Jim cannot sell merchandise as it may affect the fair use issue. However, he has given the green light to the non profit Free Republic Network to pursue this, so it will be taken up at our next meeting with what I believe will be a positive reception.
