`The great reservoir of pro-American good will that has existed in the world since World War II . . . that reservoir is now down very low.''

Is it my imagination or does that "reservoir" usually manifest itself in us giving away free money to backstabbing little cesspools of countries? That kind of "goodwill" we can do without.

Tell me the difference between what Hagel has said, and what Kerry has said. I dare you.

I take on your dare, one example given below:

Kerry: Miguel Estrada is not entitled to a confirmation vote.

Hagel: Miguel Estrada is entitled to a confirmation vote.

There.

``The great reservoir of pro-American good will that has existed in the world since World War II . . . that reservoir is now down very low.''

. . .too bad this waffling and weak less-than-Republican Senator and every self-serving Damrat out there do not feel the least bit committed to standing with our President and thereby helping promote the strength and determination of our Country as it fights the most insidious threat on our planet.

The reality is these people contribute to the our losses - to the the lowering of 'the reservoir of goodwill'; and to the lowering of the moral of our Military as well. Everytime they open their mouths.

OTOH, the Lefties and the determinedly misguided, proudly aid and and give comfort to our idiological enemies, as well as the 'terrorist scum' everytime they open their mouths.

As I recall, it was Secretary of State Powell who projected Hagel into a major Republican senatorial candidate in 1996, but I forget the details of how that came about. Hagel is pretty much a clone of John McCain in foreign affairs; I think he is more conservative than Specter though on domestic matters. And Hagel is as popular (unbeatable) in NE as McCain is in AZ.

Wasn't Hagel virtually unopposed in NE last year? He is like John Kerry, D-MA, in a sense in that he touts his Vietnam experience for political benefit. Of course, such is his prerogative, and people in NE seem to extol him.

He makes me sick. Every chance he gets he takes a shot at President Bush. Hagel should focus on his mental state since he voted for it. Hagel has gone to the dark side. He's no voice for Republicans.

Hell, Zell Miller is more a Republican than 'ole Haggis.

Zell Miller is more of a Republican than most Republicans in Congress.

Someone should remind Hagel that Benedict Arnold wore this nation's uniform too. Hagel cannot count on him having served this nation in uniform in saving him from what he is now.

This Hagel character got up one morning and decided that he was the voice of reason in a screwed up world. What really happened was he got up screwed up from smoking his last joint.
