So should drug users be left alone as soon as they deal with the problem? If not,
what is the time limit that has to pass before we stop holding it over them?
I suspect that most graduates of university journalism school would tell you:
"No statute of limitations for Republicans/conservatives."

Bitter Katie hates everyone except Hillary Clinton. I am sure she could care less about Matt's little problem.

It was a few times in the mid 1980's. Who the hell cares. Alot of people who you wouldn't think of did cocaine in the 80's. This is ridiculous.

The National Enquirer: An Equal Opportunity Offender.
...One thing people must keep in mind is that this publication is a TABLOID. Normally tabloids either exaggerate or literally bend the truth of a story. Although Rush Limbaugh did admit to being addicted to painkillers, the majority of that story the Enquirer ran was largely exaggerated, just to sell papers. In addition, this is the same magazine that has been sued by a number of celebrities, including comedienne Carol Burnette, for slander and libel. As much as I dislike Matt Lauer's politics, I certainly wouldn't wish anything like this on him or anyone else. You also have to be careful with Drudge, too; he sometimes doesn't get the story right.
-Regards, T.

Ditto your #6; a distinction that is ignored or belittled as unimportant.

"Does that morality get fuzzy when the "victim" wishes to go "out with a bang" prior to the second attempt at treatment?"
Exactly. Like Liza drinking one last bottle in the limo on the way to rehab.

Then am I right in presuming, in order to remain consistent, that you equate physicians with crack-house proprietors?
To: sissyjane
This whole thing is going to get turned into a pile of finger-pointing crap. Conservatives vs. Liberals.
Here's what's gonna happen: we're gonna be so busy accusing and putting people down that one day we are going to wake up and find some city nuked.
Lay off the personal vendettas against drug abuse. No, it's not acceptable behavior, and yes, the people need help. But we can drag this on forever while we lose sight of what's important.

I agree.I'm no fan ,but the statute of limitations on this being a scandal has run out..enough already.

"LOL... freebasing?" I like you're appraoch. If regular folks "plan for the best, and expect the worst" media guys seem to "expect the best, and don't plan for the worst". Hanging around an extra coctail party with the wrong liberal has consequences:)
Hugs!

Does that morality get fuzzy when the "victim" wishes to go "out with a bang" prior to the second attempt at treatment? Afraid I don't follow the allusion.

Agreed.
It's also interesting to note the new line:
"Hey, that was the 80's, man."
