A garbage removal company in South Philly is very likely to have had ties to the mob. I wonder if there's a way to find out whether that firm is connected somehow to the Michael Schiavo who's in the news today.

A friend who has not been up to speed on Terri's plight watched Larry King last night and sent me the following impression. I wonder how many other uninformeds were deluded by evil Michael.

"Michael was on Larry King last night with his lawyer, and they produced many qualified pieces of evidence of what is really going on.

It seems that the father is causing all these problems because he did not get money from a lawsuit he thought he should have so he is getting even with Michael. Terri, according to xrays and doctors testimony is really braindead. These xrays were shown on tv. Alot of other evidence was given and so now it seems that the father is the villian and not the doctor.

I am inclined to believe Michael. He will not get one penny by having Terri dead. As far as his girlfriend, he cannot be blamed for that. Fourteen years of no companionship is too long.

The clips shown on tv with her "smiling and blinking" are only a few minutes of a 4 and one half video tape. This video is what keeps the media interested. She really does not recognize anyone and does not know she is hungry or thirsty. So now I am in agreement with Michael since learning both sides of the story."

I realize there's a lot of pure speculation going on about insurance, and none of us knows much about Terri's.
Still, Michael's denial of insurance benefits to come is very hard to believe. Is it possible that he has already collected on the insurance? Some policies, some companies will offer to pay off a medical policy early at a discount, no?

and DID you know he wants to write one about Terri following her death? DO YOU KNOWTHE MONEY THAT WILL BRING IN and he would have to have the permission of HER GUARDIAN to write this book?

Now why doesnt MIchael want to give up his rights ? BECAUSE ....the Schindlers WOULD NOT allow George to write about Terri when she dies if they are the guardians! Again, comes down to money for Michael.....NOT THE SCHINDLERS!

I would keep trying. My guess is that they're getting flooded. The ones I had sent them went through, but that was a few days ago. I know emails that were sent to me were being bounced back to sender yesterday, although I have no idea why. There were a couple of others I know of having that problem too. Server error maybe? Hackers? Tinfoil anyone?

My understanding is that he had already quit befor Terri's Bill was passed. What I read was that once the tube was pulled, he was off the case. She wasn't supposed to live. Yeah, I know. Really sick.

You have one very ignorant and sick friend. Ignorance can be cured by a genuine seeking to know and a seeking out of the facts. I for one am not surprised at the stupidity, gullibility of people out there. But then again there are more intelligent people who can see right through Michael/Felos' charade. I might add a very sick charade. I have a blog called Terri_Schindler_Schiavo and some people put stuff on there which really pisses the heck out of me. Also when there are those who you genuinely have high thoughts of come back at you with ignorance and total misstatements, etc. it tends to cause a great upset.. at least it does for me (and this has happened on more then a couple occassions. It tends to spur me on to get more information out to wake people up from their being so gullible and non-questioning, stupid, and ignorant, etc. I am usually able to get people to wake up and see that what is happening is truly wrong.

Schindler Family Response to Michael Schiavo on Larry King Live

Family of Terri Schindler-Schiavo dispute claims of Michael Schiavo

Clearwater, FL October 28, 2003: In response to an October 27, 2003 interview with Michael Schiavo on Larry King Live, the parents of Terri Schindler-Schiavo wish to clarify some of the mistruths in Mr. Schiavo’s statements.



Mr. Schiavo told Mr. King that his girlfriend had done more for Terri than Terri’s own mother. This statement is completely untrue, as Terri’s mother, Mary Schindler, not only visits her daughter a number of times each week, but has brought clothing and other items for Terri that have been taken away by staff at Hospice – under the direction of Mr. Schiavo.



Mr. Schiavo also stated that on February 14, 1993, he and Terri’s father, Robert Schindler, had an argument regarding the money awarded to Terri for medical care and rehabilitation. Mr. Schiavo states that Mr. Schindler asked him “How much am I going to get from her money?”. Mr. Schindler vigorously denies this. He asked Mr. Schiavo how much of the medical malpractice award Mr. Schiavo intended to use for Terri’s rehabilitation and when those rehabilitative efforts would start. At that point Terri had been without any rehabilitation for about 18 months, and her parents were anxious about efforts to improve her condition. As it turned out, those rehabilitation efforts never did start. That was the source of the disagreement.



Mr. Schiavo and his attorney, George Felos, also intimate that the bulk of Terri’s money was used for Terri’s medical care when, in fact, more than $500,000 of that money has been paid in attorney’s fees and costs, most of it in connection with the removal of Terri’s feeding tube. Additionally, Mr. Schiavo provided NO therapy or rehabilitation to his wife following his November, 1992 malpractice win.



Mr. Schiavo stated that the Schindler family receives funding from “right-wing, right-to-life groups”. However, Mr. Schindler can readily document that the family instead receives donations from individuals and not funding from any large organizations. The tremendous number of e-mails to Florida’s Governor Jeb Bush and to individual legislators have come from ordinary individuals, unconnected with any particular cause or group. The family has received messages of support from all over Europe and from as far away as Australia. One supporter has started a program of “Terri lights,” urging people to place a candle in a window to signify support for Terri’s life. The support for Terri is at a grass-roots level and cuts across gender, age, religious affiliation, location, disability and socio-economic status. Just yesterday, a coalition of more than 15 national disability rights organizations – including Not Dead Yet, Paralyzed Veterans of American, and the National Spinal Cord Injury Association -- issued a joint statement roundly condemning the effort to end Terri’s life.



Mr. Schiavo stated that Terri had received three separate swallow tests. However, he failed to mention that Terri has not had a swallow test in more than 10 years. There is no dispute that Terri swallows; that much can be seen on the videotapes introduced into evidence last fall. She does not drool , and she is not suctioned, also apparent from the videotapes. Her parents want to know why Mr. Schiavo fights so hard to keep Terri from having any sort of therapy, especially speech therapy that would wean her off her feeding tube. What is he hiding? What could it hurt?



Mr. Schiavo had stated that Terri’s brother, Bobby Schindler, did not visit Terri and that he could count “on one hand the amount of times he visited Terri in 10 years.” Bobby Schindler is known by the staff at Hospice to visit Terri a number of times each week. Bobby, in fact, was sleeping in Terri’s room the night of August 29-30, when he witnessed his sister’s pre-dawn transfer to Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater.



Mr. Schiavo stated that Terri has never spoken a word since her collapse. Her medical records show otherwise. In 1991, Terri was saying “no” and “stop.” Caregivers’ affidavits filed in the court file show Terri was saying “help me,” “pain” and “mommy” in the mid- and late 1990s.



Mr. Schiavo stated that Terri’s teeth were cleaned a few months ago, for which, if true, the Schindlers are grateful. He failed to mention that he refused to permit Terri’s teeth to be cleaned from 1995 until 2002, as borne out in her medical records.



Mr. Schiavo stated that “Nobody talks about death,” yet claims to know what Terri’s wishes are today. Terri’s parents suggest it is Michael Schiavo’s attitudes that have changed over the years, not their daughter’s remarkable determination to live.

Oh, Dixie, I hope you have taken the time or at least tried to bring your friend up to date on this case.

I understand that some have been fooled by Schiavo and Felos last night. Heck, I truly didn't expect anything else. Too many people just don't care or take the time to research anything beyond what is put in front of their nose by the media.

On top of that, it seems there is a mental block put up by many people that keeps them from actually THINKING through a situation fully. For instance, look at your friend's remark: "The clips shown on tv with her "smiling and blinking" are only a few minutes of a 4 and one half video tape."

According to Schiavo and Felos, we are supposed to completely OVERLOOK her periods of lucidity and awareness because they say it was preceeded by 4 and 1/2 hours of Terri doing "nothing." My first thought when I heard this 'excuse' was: Because she did nothing for 4 1/2 hours prior to becoming cognizant, we're supposed to DIMINISH or IGNORE the time that she IS cognizant??? If she was asleep for all but two hours of the day, but was awake and cognizant for those two hours, SHE'S STILL COGNIZANT AND NOT A VEGETABLE!!! She's still ALIVE, even if only for short periods of time....something a brain dead individual is incapable of. Using their twisted logic, we can label newborn babies as 'vegetables' because they "do nothing" for hours before waking up for 30 minutes to feed and look at their surroundings.

I did like one question posed by Larry King Live. He said something like: If Terry knew her parents were suffering like this, don't you think she'd want you to back off and let them take care of her? He gave some lame answer that didn't make sense. He's a control freak. I wish some psychologist would have analyzed that creep - his performance on Larry King Live. Creepy beyond belief.

The most disgusting aspect of the interview is that Michael Schiavo and his lawyer are no doubt basking in their celebrety and the praise of adoring Americans today. Meanwhile, the pro lifers and conservatives are being reviled and ridiculed. What else is new? God help us all.

I asked where you got this info, in my first post.

You responded with the above, called me stupid, asked if I could read, told me to educate myself, told me where you live (BTW I live in the same area), and said you researed this on your own. I.e., you did about everything but answer the question.

You said you did research. Well, tell me where you got the info. It's a pretty simple question. The answer should be easy, if in fact you did do the research and did get the info. However, if it is just you assumption, as I suspect, I can see wht you just danced all around and spewed insults.

So AGAIN, where did you get that info?
