Maybe Felos and Schiavo might have promised Terri's brain to either

• Dr. Peter Bambakidis, of Case Western Reserve (which has a brain bank) or

• Dr. Melvin Greer, of the University of Florida which houses the very large HUMAN BRAIN TISSUE BANK:    A McKnight Brain Institute Core Facility
  (which has more than 1,000 specimens)

They are two doctors who testified that Terri will never recover.

Case Western has a large grant to study deep brain stimulation.

(5) The surrogate or proxy has abused powers; or

(6) The patient has sufficient capacity to make his or her own health care decisions.

Probably not related. Looks like he is originally from New York.

Dr. Greer graduated Magna Cum Laude (with honors) with a BA from the College of Arts and Pure Science, New York University, in 1950 and received his MD in 1954 from New York University. He served his internship and residency from 1954 to 1956 at Bellevue Hospital in NY and was a Fellow in Neurology at the New York Neurological Institute of the Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center.

I tried to find out more about this society, but there wasn't much. It looks like it is just a Greek organization, but I didn't realize how many of these types of organizations are out there.

Evidently Greeks use these societies to find other Greeks doing business and to find potential employers. They have their own Hellenic Business Directory to target other influential Greeks.

Agree! I think the issue boils down to mike's veracity and his true interests... his own self-interest in seeing this lady dead.

Thank you for the extra info. My point is that the media and for a while, Michael and his lawyer, claimed Terri was brain dead.

To me, that means no electrical activity in the brain. Even the simplest of tests, (an EEG) would show whether this is the case or not, and answer the question.

Apparently, the Judge, Michael, and George Felos want to trust George's psyhic and spiritual enfoldment abilities more than any stupid old medical tests.

Just speculating here, but I wonder if Michael has already tendered a deal through George Felos, to sell Terri's brain to one of the aforementioned institutes and that is his hidden reason for wanting to get this over with.
