Yeah... it can't be said too often... it took more than that to send Gacy to the chair, and he got the benefit of being flash fried, not slow dried.

yeah and he also called her parents before he called 911

(All of the above is JUST MY OPINION)
To: UCANSEE2; All
Thank you for what may be the very first coherent post on this whole topic - this out of 10,000 threads on FR concerning Terri.
I've been growing weary of the many who jumped on this bandwagon due to no more than what appears to be their disapproval of MS taking a mistress (yes it's wrong, but it's really none of our business).
And, although I agree that his motives may be suspect, nothing's been proven beyond a reasonable doubt. There's a lot of conjecture and speculation, as well as much good info. There's also a lot of bunk, i.e., doctors quoted who are "new age types" at best, and winners of bandwidth on quackwatch.com at worst. There's also a lot of people "casting stones", which is also a real shame. As proud as I am of FR, sometimes I'm embarrased by the self-righteous/holier-than-thou spewing of many folks here. We're all simply human, folks, and people who don't agree 100 percent with you aren't necessarily the enemy, or minions of Satan, or (insert your knee-jerk reaction here).
Bottom line for me can be boiled down to 2 points:
1: I wouldn't want to live like this, no matter how bad some members of my family wanted to hang on. People, get your affairs in order so that you never even have to worry about your last days becoming a circus like this.
2: Nothing presented in this case is incontrovertable; hence my long-standing position that we should butt out. None of us were an intimate part of this relationship, and for every point in favor of criminal action, prognosis for recovery, etc, there is a point on the other side as well.

Apologies for including you with my dragon. There have been so many trolls invading the threads lately, that when I saw you asking questions with the trolls, I included your freeper nic before reading the rest of the thread. Questions are no problem. Trolls to disrupt annoy me.

A court taking hearsay as evidence to permit this kind of death is, to me, unconscionable. Particularly hearsay of a conflicted witness which, even if it is to be 100% believed, would not prove that Terri made any statement with the intention that it be used to justify dehydrating her.

Sorry, but I find the notion that a guardian can get the state's blessing to kill an incapacitated ward merely by claiming the ward expressed a desire not to live is extremely frightening.

The bonescan that showed the fractures was done 53 weeks after Terri collapsed. It was later that Michael flew Terri to LA for the 'special' implants, accompanied by a 'nurse'. Could that nurse have been the first adulterous affair Michael enjoyed before Jodi Centonze? I would almost bet on it!

My own personal opinion is that if it wasn't written down it did NOT happen. Now, in the business world... if you did not notate it and send me a copy, I never heard of it!
That being said, I can tell you that even if I was not informed of anything except the fact that, Terri never wrote a will or left WRITTEN instructions for her care in such a circumstance, I would never agree with some guys who stand financially from her death.
Even if the "memories" came from her Mama, her Papa, her Priest, her hubby, her best friend or her brother-in-law.
IF IT IS NOT WRITTEN DOWN, IT DID NOT HAPPEN.
Memories can be MADE UP at the drop of a hat and tailored to match somebody's conscience and sub-conscience designs.
Money can sure make some people REMEMBER lots of stuff you supposedly said, IF it will help them to pry your money loose and into their pockets.

Ah, and this is the crux of the whole case.
If it is not written down it did not happen!

Well, Judge Greer would not like the case any better if I was involved. Of that I am sure. Remember, I live in Florida and more than that I won't say.

I'm not a doctor , but there are far more sophisticated tests than EEGs these days. Two that come to mind are PET scans (positron-emission tomography) and MRIs (magnetic resonance imaging). Both are pretty specific in what they can show, and IMHO, are the better tools to show brain activity and where it's located. I'd like to see Terri get some of these tests performed, preferably while they are attempting to stimulate her in various ways (hearing, smelling, tasting, visual, etc).
To: lakey
If Michael loved Terri as much as he says he does, why did he allow the G-tube to be inserted in the first place? I thought she said, "No tubes for me," and "I don't want to live hooked up to anything artificial." IMHO, Michael talks out of both sides of his mouth.
