Sorry, couldn't resist. ;)

Seriously, no, it won't hurt your computer. I'm kinda curious as to whether it's going to affect my home wireless network, tho.

Yep - I got abducted by ravenous aliens with big noses to go out for a beer. :)

Nah... I'll just move to my desktop if the wireless goes wonky; it's actually cable-connected.

Thanks for that info ..... I sort of got the gist of it ... LOL!

The important thing is that it doesn't seem like the solar thingie is going to complicate communications for the firefighters, LEOs, etc. .... they certainly don't need that problem.

I have been lifting up all the firefighters throughout this nightmare.

My daddy passed away this year. Many people sent their condolences. My friend, a southern lady my age that I've known since childhood, wrote me a note, "I'm lifting your family up in prayer." Those words, and yours tonight really resonate with me.

It's just hungry. You need a new scanner; the new and pretty Internet ones eat Twinkies instead. ;)

Actually, the back end of Eaton Canyon does touch Angeles Nat. Forest - so it's entirely possible that he'd hiked waaaay up there. But most of the canyon is a non-Angeles-forest region.

Thank you. Your appreciation of his work makes a big difference! Today I dropped 20 lbs of apples and oranges off at our local FS station for the local handcrew (just back from their day up the hill at the Old fire). I told them that I can't feed my son but I could feed them in his stead. These kids aren't getting enough chow on the line, I'm told (my boy sez todays breakfast and lunch consisted of a balogna sandwich). If you think of it, take something good to eat to your local wildfire fighter today. Their moms & dads will thank you!
