I'll start it off.
Dear Hal,
While slow to anger, and quick to forgive, the common American, by-and-large conservative in cultural and political tendancies, has endured a six decade history of leftists stealing Jacksonian Democracy of the Democratic party and seen its transformation of that party into a destructive virus.
Our educational, economic, academic, cultural, liturary and political instituions have been perverted and our citizenry has plainly risen up in recoginition of that in the last twenty years. The Totalitarian Rationalist Democracy of the Left is not for us, they have proclaimed. Classical Liberal Democracy, which uses democratic methods as only a participartory tool, has been seen as the thing worth keeping. That was the system of the Old Whigs, those who founded this country.
The false Sentimentality of the Enlightenment, the Rationalism the cannot recognize that "Beauty Lives, though Lillies die", that "establishes" the secular humanism of Dewey as a national religion, and the economics of the Left are all been seen as the road to failure for the freedoms on which this nation has thrived.
Hate and contempt have been poured upon our founders' values and principles for decades by the Left. But that scheme has been seen for what it is and its victims, our common citizens, are proclaiming their understanding.
That is what the leftists have always wanted isn't it? "Understanding."
Well now they have it, in spades.

"Hal Friedman Brooklyn, N.Y..." Wish he would post on FR and explain why New York City can not have a Second Amendment. How does he protect himself from crooks (Brooklyn does have crooks, doesn't it?)

Congratulations Jim!
Seems as though polite society has now risen up to recognize the dangers that the democrats present to them. We're not gonna take it anymore!

Right-wingers have been holding up their end of the polarization of America.Well, did they expect us to sit around picking our noses with our feet propped on the kitchen table?
Not that I do that.

Please call these folks, Hal. They'll understand.

My name is Stephen Dewey, and I am a reporter for the Harvard Political Review. I'm doing an article on online conservative activism, and I'd like to exchange emails or phone calls with somebody from the Free Republic leadership about your organization...

I'm guessing it took all of Hal's efforts to not lace that article with profanity.

Dear Mr. Friedman
swore hatred for the Democrats who are "destroying the Constitution" and "setting up a totalitarian state,"
I'd say Jim R. went to easy on them. I'd add:
The Democrats who are "giving aid and comfort to our enemies in this time of War on Terrorism" and "are trying to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory in Iraq for political gain".

Thanks for posting this.
Hal, you are the typical bully of the lunatic left. You and your ilk can say anything about us or or our president and feel that you are so wonderful.
However, when a group of conservatives band together to counter the left wing control of the media in America, it is too much for you.
I'm very proud of Jim Robinson, Free Republic and my fellow freepers.
Hal, you "ain't" seen anything yet. Wait until you see what we do to expose the lies and spins your side comes up within the next year. That will lead to a good a$$ kicking in November 2004. We will help reelect GW, add more members in the house, and dethrone more of your lying senators in the senate.
Hal, I invest a $/day to help keep Free Republic strong and to be a constant pain to liberals like you. That and my contributions to re elect President Bush will help to bury lunatics like you politically in 2004.

Someone needs to tell Mr. Friedman that the middle part of his little Jim-bashing masterpiece seems to be (gasp) a sentence fragment. Ain't no verb in that there sentence. Automatic F, Mr. Friedman, since you got to take this home to work on it.
