"Last year Mrs. Schiavo, 27, suffered a loss of potassium in her body that caused her heart to stop beating and resulted in a coma. She underwent surgery, performed by Dr. Yoshio Hosobuchi of the University of California at San Francisco in December, to implant a stimulator in her brain. The brain stimulator implant was a success, said her husband, Mike. Mrs. Schiavo is slowly emerging from the coma at the Mediplex Medical Center, a neurological care center in Bradenton, he said. She will undergo at least a year of speech, occupational and physical therapy."

WOW Cyn! Great find! That is pretty damning. HINO has been caught in yet another lie. Not that it will matter that much. He is so like Bill Clinton...tell enough lies and people will get tired of trying to keep them all straight so they just stop challenging you. Nice try. It won't work for you Michael.

Perhaps we should blame the parents since it seems to be a family trait. Remember a couple of days ago when the brother Steven said the Schindler's couldn't even get credit to rent an apartment so they lived with Michael? Here's what Michael's previous girlfriend says...

During the nearly three-hour deposition, Shook said that Michael Schiavo never talked about his wife's wishes if she ever became comatose. He never indicated to Shook that he and his wife had talked about living or dying in the event of a stroke, heart attack or car accident. And he never said to Shook that Mrs. Schiavo had indicated that she wanted to die.

What they talked about, Shook said, had nothing to do with Mrs. Schiavo's end-of-life wishes or removal of life support.

They talked about how Schiavo would get on with his life, Shook said in her deposition.

One option was building an addition to her parents' house and hiring medical staff to care for her there.

"Michael had discussed (Terri) with me in the context of what to do to get on with his life," Shook said.

I don't know how to link to the article itself so please search archives under Schiavo for the following:

I wonder why Terri stopped treating at Mediplex. Maybe she was actually making progress and that was against Michael's wishes.

Did you notice in that stpetetimes article, where they declared Terri Schiavo Day, there was a paragraph about "making donations"? Michael has always milked Terri's condition for MONEY.
