Heavenly Father, how lacking they are in understanding, for You instituted the courts of justice for the people .."He has showed you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God." Micah 6:8
Yet again, Lord, we plead for the hearing before that righteous Judge, the one who will grant relief and release Terri from the pit of hell to which she is now consigned. Thank You that her dear family daily has the joy of being with her, to speak with her and to cheer her and to whisper words of encouragement. Thank You for opening the prison doors that mother and father and sister and brother may enter in. Thank You for the smile she shows in the presence of her mom. These are what gladdens the hearts of her family .. yet there are things that are fiercely troubling as well.
Heavenly Father, I pray that You would remove from Terri both guardians, her husband and the one now appointed, for clearly they have spoken in a biased manner. Spur us on to find out why a man against Terri's Law is the one to represent her interests .. bring to light, I pray, the tangled web that has been woven around Terri. May this play out on the world stage, for we must know how corrupt our judicial system before we can apply the remedy. Give eyesight to the people to see the extent of evil and cause them to take action.
Be for Terri this night peaceful dreams and an excitement to awakening to a new day. May her caregivers be extensions of Your love .. use them, too, Father, to hold back the evil that awaits her. We praise and bless Your holy name, for though man plans, it is You, Father, who decides.
Our Father, which art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name ... Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us debts as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil .. For thine is the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory, forever, Amen ..
Maybe "Clara, she" did hold food and H2O in low regard, can't say. But from the many folks I have cared for during their last breaths including my Mom, they always asked for something to be put in their mouths if they were able to.
Just because someone can't ask for it, I will never agree that they don't desire it. And those that couldn't ask, well I always assumed they wanted it and never had a problem with them receiving those offerings.
Great job Floriduh voter down there in Tampa Bay! If we can make the trip down from LA I will give you a heads up.
