Comments by Jane and Neil just burn me up! Schiavo at least got out his side of the story on Larry King, Jane says.....bleghhhh!
To: windchime
Did you hear that
dumb@$$ liberal, Jane Hall, talking about the legislature "injecting" itself into the situation? Some of these people should either get a clue or shut the h*ll up! The people put pressure on their legislators and the governor to ACT and they did. What is it about OF the people, BY the people and FOR the people do these historically challenged, neurologically stagnant pod people not understand? I like the comment that the other guy made, what's his name (Jim Pinkerton?), that Schiavo was like a low-grade Scott Peterson. Dead on.

If Larry doesn't ask the Schindler's the right questions, maybe some freepers can call in ask a few things.
What would be some good questions to ask?
We need for the viewers to see Sneaky Snake as he really is.

I know the quote, though I wasn't
watching at the time. But folks on
here argued & argued whether he
meant "the same thing"(with Terri
& his parents) was starvation &
dehydration, or just "quality of
life/end of life" issues.

"I like the comment that the other guy made, what's his name (Jim Pinkerton?), that Schiavo was like a low-grade Scott Peterson. Dead on."
I liked Jim's comment, too, but what he didn't state is that instead of killing her like Scott (probably) did, Schiavo is doing it in broad daylight with the blessing of the courts.
The pertinent fact not being stated by the media is that TERRI IS NOT DYING UNTIL THEY TAKE SUSTENANCE FROM HER!
(I had to say probably, since he hasn't been convicted)

You are painting the best-case scenario, and unfortunately for poor Terri, she never seems to come out on top -- for long. I think Demers may be so hell-bent on proving George W. Greer and the FL Supreme Court as the true powers-that-be in FL that he will keep Schiavo as guardian. I just had not thought of the possibility that Demers might remove Schiavo. Why? Demers is really just biding his time waiting for "Terri's Law" to be struck down anyway. Demers practically told Wolfson not to get too involved in the case, for he expects a high-court ruling against the law.

"The pertinent fact not being stated by the media is that TERRI IS NOT DYING UNTIL THEY TAKE SUSTENANCE FROM HER!" Yeah, funny how they neglect to mention such pertinent details.

Exactly! I get so tired of hearing the story misrepresented on the news. I cannot believe the Guardian they have chosen.........just makes me sick!

The season of devils (Halloween) is OVER. The season of GOD (Thanksgiving-Christmas) Has begun. Maybe we might see more positive action for Terri due to this seasonal shift.

NOV. 1, 2003: Here's what the family wants us to do... Prayers for Terri and help with Public Awareness. Terri looks good today. Dutch television was at the Hospice today filming vigil attendees. They interviewed a woman who was in a coma but began communicating with a nurse and she was standing there for a twenty minute interview. They also interviewed another woman who comes to Hospice to support Terri on a regular basis. She happened to speak Dutch. In addition, Dutch TV asked us to act natural, like they weren't there. Well, how easy was that?
I ducked out instead of trying to be "next" for an interview to run some errands.
I returned this evening and there are now about six people holding a candlelight vigil for Terri. There have been two faith healers there this afternoon. New vigilers have shown up who are staying in hotels. All is calm.
When I find their business card, I'll put the url for the Dutch station on a Daily thread because it will be streaming on line this coming Tuesday or Wednesday. floriduh voter

I hope the first order of business for the Schindlers is to rebut all Michael's lies and obfuscations, point by point, from his LKL appearance last week.
IMO they should lead off with the truth about Michael's TWO children out of wedlock - maybe run a video clip of Michael hemming and hawing about having 'one' child in response to a question from a caller.
If the 14-year-old child has been confirmed by airtime, that should be discussed, along with the implications of that extramarital relationship as possible motivation for Terri's mystrious 'collapse.'
Next, a recap of Dr. Michael Baden's commentary in which he RULED out heart attack or potassium defiency as cause for Terri's collapse.
Then a recap of Michael's "loving care" throughout the years, covering his DNR order, his order to not treat Terri's UTI in hopes she would die, his promise to care for her for the rest of her life while asking a jury for funds for her rehabilitation, then his sudden reversal after getting the 1.2 million settlement.
Also I hope Larry King replays Michael choking on the question posed about taking a lie detector test (to determine whether he's telling the truth about "Terris' wish" to be put to death) and Michael telling Larry his "went through this with his parents" (in reference to putting Terri out of her misery).
Michael is a piece of work who took advantage of an innocent, naive girl. He's cast from the same mold as Scott Peterson: a selfish, lying, adulterer who thinks he's above the law. If he harmed Terri because she found out about his affair or out-of-wedlock child, the parallels to Scott Peterson are even stronger. Many suspect that Laci was murdered after finding out about Amber Frey and demanding a divorce.
Scott Peterson: "No child support for me!"
Michael Schiavo: "No tubes for Terri!"
Hope Larry mentions the Peterson case as an example of a "perfect" marriage with lots of problems unbeknownst to family members. I suspect the Schindlers thought Terri and Michael had a "perfect marriage" too when they signed papers giving all guardianship rights to Michael.

That's okay. It's Verisign's fault.
But, I have it downloaded too. I'm making it available to freepers if they just freepmail me their regular email addresses. Thanks for trying.

Sorry, I didn't email you. The purple is a little hard on my eyes. That would be my only comment. Terri is looking good today, Juan. Per the family.
