Affirmative Action Bake Sale at Indiana University
The Hoosier Review ^ | 11-4-03 | Zach Wendling

Posted on 11/04/2003 2:38:11 PM PST by Rush Reagan

Yum! Cookies Well, it's finally come to IU. The Committee for Freedom will be holding an Affirmative Action Bakesale tomorrow, Wednesday, November 4th in Dunn Meadow from 12:30 pm until 2:00 pm. According to the press release, "Cookies will be sold at different prices based on race and gender. White males will pay $1 per cookie, white females will pay 75 cents, Hispanics will pay 50 cents, and cookies will cost 25 cents for blacks."

Stephan Jerabek, President of The Committee for Freedom, said, "Through this bake sale, we hope to highlight the absurdity of preferences based on race, ethnicity, or gender." Bakesale patrons will also be given the chance to sign a petition calling on IU to change university policy to prohibit the collection of racial data.

As a side note here guys there is probably going to be a huge backlash on campus from this. Any support you Freepers can give us in terms of letters to the editor or anything else will be greatly appreciated. I will post a message after the bakesale to tell you guys how to respond if you want.

Obviously discrimination of the worst sort. Hispanic women and black women should pay less than hispanic males and black males. Surely this will be corrected.

If you can, video tape the entire episode. Just make sure your people are at high alert and good behavior. Don't let the lefties bait you into acting like them.

Videotape, videotape, videotape.

When the libs act - and they almost certainly will - catch it on camera and distribute it as widely as possible, especially to the office of the President of your university.

The Creation of Indiana

Once upon a time in the Kingdom of Heaven, God was missing for six days. Eventually, Michael the Archangel found him, resting on the seventh day. He inquired of God, "Where have you been?" God sighed a deep sigh of satisfaction and proudly pointed downwards through the clouds, "Look Michael, look what I've made."

Archangel Michael looked puzzled and said, "What is it?"

"It's a planet," replied God, "and I've put Life on it. I'm going to call it Earth and it's going to be a great place of balance."

"Balance?", inquired Michael, still confused.

God explained, pointing to different parts of earth, "For example, northern Europe will be a place of great opportunity and wealth while southern Europe is going to be poor; the Middle East over there will be a hot spot. Over there I've placed a continent of white people and over there is a continent of black people," God continued, pointing to different countries. "This one will be extremely hot and arid while this one will be very cold and covered in ice."

The Archangel, impressed by God's work, then pointed to a large land mass and said, "What's that one?"

"Ah," said God. "That's INDIANA, the most glorious place on earth. There are beautiful lakes, rivers, sunsets and rolling hills. The people from INDIANA are going to be modest, intelligent and humorous and they are going to be found traveling the world. They will be extremely sociable, hard working and high achieving, and they will be known throughout the world as diplomats and carriers of peace."

Michael gasped in wonder and admiration but then proclaimed,"What about balance, God?" ... "You said there would be balance!"

God replied wisely, "Wait until you see the idiots I'm putting around them in Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, & Illinois."

We certianly hope we are going to have a Republican mayor. We will most likely have a Republican City Council for the first time in 30 years.

You forgot the part where the devil created Hammond and Gary as his own personal theme park.

I can attest to that, I'm from Illinois, my eldest daughter is born Hoosier(Boilermaker actually), the next 2 were Buckeyes, and I have toured the other states extensively. Being a Neo-Buckeye my opinions of Michigan are prejudiced. Kentucky is beautiful but, well, some of the folks are civilized in the big cities. (kidding)

Ahhh, Dunn Meadow, my favorite place to hang out while I was supposed to be in class (hope my Mom's not a FReeper reading this). Does anyone know if Mad Max is still around (or some semblance of him) or the other guy (Dan I think). They were a riot!

I haven't heard of those names before, but I'm only a Sophomore here so some of the older CRs and stuff might know who you're talking about.

They were these two preacher guys who stood around campus and shouted about us all going to hell because we were immoral college students. Max's favorite hangout was out there between Ballantine (sp?) and Woodburn Halls. Dan floated a bit. A lot of students would stand there and argue with them or just mock them. Dan was the mellower of the two from what I remember. Max wasn't a spring chicken back then, so he may not even be alive anymore.

P.S. Good luck with the sale...I know how hard it is to be a conservative on that campus :)
