Zell Miller, United States Senator from Georgia

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Miller on Politicized Intelligence Memo:
‘Heads Should Roll’

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Zell Miller (D-GA) today released the following statement concerning a memo written by Democratic staff on the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence that suggests ways to politicize intelligence data:

“I have often said that the process in Washington is so politicized and polarized that it can’t even be put aside when we’re at war. Never has that been proved more true than the highly partisan and perhaps treasonous memo prepared for the Democrats on the Intelligence Committee.

“Of all the committees, this is the one single committee that should unquestionably be above partisan politics. The information it deals with should never, never be distorted, compromised or politicized in any shape, form or fashion. For it involves the lives of our soldiers and our citizens. Its actions should always be above reproach; its words never politicized.

“If what has happened here is not treason, it is its first cousin. The ones responsible - be they staff or elected or both should be dealt with quickly and severely sending a lesson to all that this kind of action will not be tolerated, ignored or excused.

“Heads should roll!”

I like Miller, but just cannot understand why he wants to be labeled with these people. He is not going to change them.

After what he has warned them of comes to pass, they may heed what Zell is telling them. He could end up being the best thing that has happened to this country in many years if he snaps these idiots out of their stupor.I hate that he is leaving the Senate. We need more conservative Demos, it's good for the country

Is anyone other than Fox News and Zell Miller reporting on this memo?

You can avoid that by putting only one name in the name address and sending "bcc:" to the rest of them. That way none of them know who else received the message.

I agree with the both of you. However, if you are something that you don't like, do you remain that or do you change.

I see your point, but this is like a top Nazi disagreeing with Hitler. This is priceless pr , not for either party , but for conservatism and Americanism

Today Sean said that his source has said the staffer wrote it under orders from Rockefeller. Then when Saxby Chambliss came on he said that Jay's orders come from higher up implying Dashole(Hitlery's puppet).

or TA or hrc herself

"Miller is the classic old-school Southern Democrat. Patriotic, hawkish on defense, socially moderate, fiscally populist. If there were more D's still down here like him..."

Heh, heh, heh...Democrats can go to Zell!

Miller is dead on. Everyone of these worms should be removed from the Intelligence Committee immediately. Even Rats should be beyond reproach when dealing with intelligence and national security. I am beginning to believe that democRats can't be trusted to find their way to the restroom. I have had it with the Rat party and it's seditious ways. They should be viewed as domestic enemies and brought up on charges.

Dont' take it anymore -- Please call talk radio and write your media today to protest the Memo from the DemocRAT side of the Intelligence Committee TODAY. Senator Miller said it could be treasonous! You can find the information you need for your area by visiting Bush-Cheney '04 at:

Not only this, please contact your Senators and express your outrage at the Rats defiling of the Intelligence Committe. These people need to get brought up on charges. Who needs a fifth column when you have democRats?

Great list. Great accomplishments. More than what I expected.

But to be fair and balanced, he also:

Greatly expanded the size, scope, and cost of government.

Signed the largest expansion of federal spending on education.

Signed legislation that effectively eliminates the ability to criticize the incumbent perfumed princes before elections.

After stating that the Second Amendment is an individual right, goes on to say that reasonable restrictions are approrpriate.

Nominated, but then let lanquish, several good judicial candidates.

Though this list is shorter, I believe that these acts outweigh much of the good that he did.

If he follows through on his promise to sign an extension of Clinton's AWB, regardless of the reason, he will not get my vote again.

I am a conservative first and a Republican second. I would like nothing more than a strong conservative wing of the Democrat part for making solid two prong attacks to push legislation thru. We have a county supervisor here that is a conservative Democrat and pretty much a black sheep with the party, but combined with our guy we got elected, they get alot done.

Senator Miller?! Who cares what senators think? What does Dennis think?!

Well, I followed your link, and here's what I found: "I have the same approach I would use if I were crossing a prison yard late at night," Miller said about his career in an interview with The Associated Press Thursday. "I zigzag to stay ahead of everyone."

Apparently Zell and Dennis have more in common than last names:-)
