Thanks for the excerpts.

And what enabling family member would call that information in to a reporter? Someone empathetic to his "problem". A family trait, perhaps?
To: Velveeta
Velveeta, this is fascinating. Probably most of us here assume that he disposed of Laci in the dark of night. Now it seems that he would not have had access to the boat til 6 am. This is a huge find. I think this makes the supposed witness next door who saw him hauling the tarp covered "umbrellas" out that morning a very important witness.
This probably means he was not present at the house at all that morning, because we know he picked up that marina ticket at what, 11:30? So why would he come home and go out there again (90 miles each way)? I hope people asked him what exactly was on that Martha Stewart show that day.
Also, if he really was on the boat early on, when sturgeon fishers really do go out, why make up that he was home til 9 or 10 chatting with lovely Laci? Why not just say that he left before she awoke? What's that all about?
How long d'you all think it took him to do all this? He most likely killed her the night before, and then was preparing her all night? Or stored her in the pool (ghastly)? The anchor stuff -- how could he have done that all so quickly that morning? Or did he go to the "real" warehouse and get that done there during the night? What a busy little beaver.

Has anyone else heard this? Radio news at the top of the hour said LE found a rifle in Scott's truck.

SO we don't have to read it in line. Hehheh, there goes my job!

Thanks so much for the NE info. So we still don't know if this diamond jewelry is the SAME jewelry she had on when she died, or the stuff she had sitting around waiting to sell. Hmmmm. Would Scott be so low as to pull off her jewelry after death and give them to his girlfriend? COULD HE DO THAT? And wouldn't he realize that would sort of FINISH HIM OFF? I am sure Amy would remember what she had on that day, or possibly she wore the same basic jewelry every day?

The legal counter-punch would try to prove Peterson had no reason to kill for Frey, a 28-year-old massage therapist... As Howard Stern would say, did she provide "happy endings?"

>>Remember this quote of Scaughty's?
"Violence towards women is unapproachable," Scott Peterson said. "It is the most disgusting act, to me."
Wasn't that choice of words so strange? Unapproachable? Disgusting?<<
I think it was a stupid Freudian Slip on Snotty's part. I think he got the word "unapproachable" confused with "irreproachable" in that he thought the first word was the opposite of the second word (which it is not).
From Dictionary.com
irreproachable
adj : free of guilt; not subject to blame; "has lived a blameless life"; "of irreproachable character"; "an unimpeachable reputation" [syn: blameless, inculpable, unimpeachable]

Yes, I just heard that. The night Laci went missing, there was a gun in his truck. I didn't hear rifle, but I was in the middle of something. They also announced that the seller of the Mercedes he was caught in had said he name was Jacqueline. We had heard that already around here. The gun is news. Was it there as a back up in case the garotte (Scott would never use his bare hands, would he?) didn't work?

Your post makes me so happy that we don't have Carl Jr's here.

>>Yeah, he thought it would be cheaper to kill her and the baby than pay child support for 18 years...not to mention all those weekends he would have to "waste" on the child.<<
There is no law in any state I know of that requires a father to visit his children. I don't even know of any state that forces a mother to comply with an order for visitation so the father and child can see one another when the father wants to.
So I think Snotty was just worried about parting with the child support and perhaps some temporary alimony not to mention having to split the property.

Has anyone else heard this? Radio news at the top of the hour said LE found a rifle in Scott's truck. Yes. I just sought out this thread to read the updates and was surprised to not find any. I didn't take notes, but this is what I've heard on Fox this morning.
Testimony given by officer today:
When he arrived he did a walk-through the house. Greta just said Laci's wallet was found, Claudia had reported that Laci's purse was found in the closet.
Also first reports of a gun being found, but I did not note the location (grizzfan said radio news said in Peterson's truck).
Also Greta just said Scott Peterson let this officer look at his cell phone and the officer reviewed the incoming and outgoing calls of that day. One call was placed to the home and a message was left, but he did not testify to the content of that message. Also Laci's cellphone was found in her vehicle and Scott had also called that # and left a message. That message was that he was done fishing and he did not have time to pick up that gift basket he had promised to pick up.
Also, the officer went to the warehouse and noted a homemade cement anchor, per Claudia Cowan. Also bits of cement were found in the boat. Cowan noted we had heard about cement anchors but this was the first report of them on the record.
As I said, I did not take notes so be on the alert for Fox reports. I do not know how MSNBC is reporting because I haven't been surfing today.

According to the NE, the police that it was strange SP said Laci was wearing all this diamond jewelry but was dressed casually to walk the dog. They don't think she ever had it on, but that was his way to have it missing (I suppose in case the family wanted it?- my theory).

He could have taken the boat from the storage to the warehouse on the 23rd as well. I wonder if they have logs or if they save the tapes from their security cameras at the storage facility.
All this planning.....had to be premeditated.
To: cyncooper
I think Claudia said the gun was in the truck, and that when the policeman testified to this today, Laci's Mom got up and walked out of the courtroom.
This is actually good news people, because they have been able to keep some evidence quiet. Maybe there is more to come....

Wasn't that choice of words so strange? Unapproachable? Definitely strange; I had wondered if he meant to say 'unacceptable.'
