Terri's Threads on FreeRepublic.com - 13 Nov 2003 1035 PST
Today, as of 1035 PST, a total of four hundred and ninety-five threads (495!!!) related to the Terri Schiavo life or death struggle taking place in Florida have been posted by one hundred and seventy-two (172) FReepers!!!
Given the astonishing and incredible number of threads which focus on a wide variety issues all reated to the same subject, I thought it might be helpful to the FR membership, and those who occasionly review FR commentary, to have a source from which they could more easily access a particular item of interest to them.
I do hope the index serves you well. I have done my very best to make the index a complete compilation of those Terri Schiavo threads found within the various forums provided by FreeRepublic to its members, and will update it every three days. Please let me know if there is a thread I should include within the index that could have been overlooked.
To access a particular thread, copy it from the index and then paste it into the "Find in Forum" box located in the Latest Articles, which can be found within the "Forum/Topics" section of the FR front page.

Let me know if you feel I could expand upon this exercise.

Delete 85% of the total threads, leaving the latest ones intact.
By the way, has that piece of Clinton Michael SHIVo killed her yet?
God I hope not...

For a new kid on the block you sure have a lot of salt. For your unwashed appreciation for these threards, the early fifty percent are the guts of the hard research FReepers spent hours doing for the benefit of the ignorant.
There are some very solid FReepers you have disrespected in a mocking that obviously comes from a highly overestimated self-indulgence. My suggestion......get over it quick, or you will not last long here.
You are what you write.

I understand but aren't these threads a little too much?
495?!?!
I didn't mean to upset or anger anyone but I'mworried that too many of these threads will disrupt FR's proper functioning.

This was quite a project. How many individual posts have there been? :-)
To: Killborn
"....too many of these threads will disrupt FR's proper functioning." You have arrived at two choices, the first is to expand upon your perception of the 'proper functioning' of FreeRepublic.com ( having honored it on this the tenth day of your membership ); the second would be to take part in a learning by observing exercise as your wiser path.

If the same article is posted more than once, an admin moderator will delete the duplicate(s).

Then I retract my statement about removing 85% of the threads. I thought they were all duplicates.
Sorry if I upset or angered anyone.

Apology accepted.
The fight to save a disabled woman from court ordered execution has been long, hard, and is not yet over.
Trolls and flippant comments by those ignorant of her situation became common, and progressively more insulting and viscious, including threats.
Several FReepers, along with other internet forums and groups, successfully lobbied the Legislature and the Governor of Florida to take action.
Grassroots and networking in action.
Against the wishes of the courts, special interest groups, and the major media, the will of the people is becoming a factor that the three branches of our government need to remember is vital, aware, and getting stronger everyday.

I'm afraid including the number of posts each thread generated will have to wait until Saturday, when I post an update to this index. I just realized it'll take a little bit longer than 'a day or so'. But thanks for the suggestion. It's a good one.

How about making the list of articles into URLs (with caveat that if a thread migrates, such as being sent to the smokey backroom, it may fail).
Also put in reverse chronological order - newest threads at the top of the page.
