I'd be curious though. Perhaps they had run up quite a bill in arrears already, and the providers (doctors, hospitals, nurses, insurance, etc.) had a lien on the judgment.

I'm sure some of the money may have gone to help with medical costs, but the Schindlers had paid an awful lot of the medical costs themselves and they were not repaid by Michael. I just read that a day or two ago. But don't you think that if a large portion of it had gone into Terri's medical care that Schiavo and Felos would be shouting it from the rooftop instead of trying to justify the use of the money for the cost of getting her terminated?

Who has some colossal nerve accusing the Schindlers that "this all started when they got greedy and demanded some of the money." Nice; Terri was "their baby" when it suited him to keep the money, and "his baby" when it suited him to try to have her terminated. A real burning hunk of faithful love, this guy. Not.

I can see how people could mis-read it, but Ann got it right...

The jury awarded the biggest chunk of change "FOR Terri's medical costs" and rehabilitation

The jury awarded a smaller chunk of change to Michael personally, for his loss of consortium

Ann wasn't trying to claim in that "New York Times" sentence, that Michael is mis-spending it on legal efforts to kill her. (although we all know that he is)

LOL! Sorry....I was up all night, so I meant Friday! In our market Oprah is supposed to deal with this at 4:00pm CST. From the previews I saw, I dont think she will be dealing with it the whole show, but it should have some significant time. I will be interested to see what she does with it.
