Let's believe it when we see it. Hollywood has a long, rocky road towards redemption.

Good for Kurt Russell, a pro-American libertarian who once said he was "proud to call Newt Gingrich his friend."

The Miracle on Ice...We beat the Soviets in the Olympics...That's it? That's their show of patriotism? Talk about low ratings!

When they make an anti-Stalin or anti-Mao film after 70 years of ignoring genocide, then I'll be impressed.

Good for Kurt Russell, a pro-American libertarian who once said he was "proud to call Newt Gingrich his friend." I really like Kurt Russell, I'm just glad he is not another Hollywood Liberal! ..doesn't he and Goldie Hawn live in Colorado on a ranch? ..somewhere away from Hollyweird?
I also saw where he flys his own private jet, pretty cool.

I think it was Finland we beat for the gold. Sweden was the first game they played and finished in a tie. Bill Baker scored the tieing goal against Sweden in 27 seconds left to play.
BTW.....My hubby is standing right over my shoulder giving me this info as I type. He's a sports bugg....BIG TIME!!!

They live in Pacific Palisades (a fancy name for a part of West Los Angeles). When I worked in neighboring Brentwood, I'd see him out and about shopping and stuff - but no Goldie.

I'm sure they have several homes.
I like Russell too. Poor Goldie's back and forth all the time (although she did get her digs in on Susan Sarandon one time)...but her husband seems to be pretty much pro-America.

Right you are on both counts. Beat the Finns 5-2 for the gold, and Baker's goal tied Sweden --- and the Swedish goaltended was none other than the late, great Pelle Lindbergh, who starred for years with the Flyers before running his Ferrari into a wall at high speed.
Baker, btw, was an absolute bust for the Blues. Couldn't/wouldn't hit a lick.

Another thing that ain't gonna happen: a film about courageous American soldiers freeing children from one of Saddam's prisons.
