Jesse Jackson Urges: Prosecute Limbaugh
NewsMax ^ | 11/18/03 | Limbacher

Rev. Jesse Jackson, who repeatedly urged forgiveness after President Clinton committed felony perjury five years ago, said late Monday that top conservative talk host Rush Limbaugh should be prosecuted for illegally obtaining prescription painkillers.

"Here in the case of Rush Limbaugh, he has bought excessive amounts of an illegal substance," Jackson claimed on MSNBC's "Scarborough Country." "Will he be able to stand for rehab without prosecution?"

The fading civil rights leader said that perhaps Limbaugh's plight would force America to liberalize its drug laws. Otherwise, he added, "If the law remains the same he'll face prosecution as other Americans do."

At one point Jackson seemed so eager for legal action to commence against the conservative talkmeister that he imagined Limbaugh was already behind bars.

"Rush Limbaugh is sick," Jackson told Scarborough's panel of guests. "And that's why he went to jail."

Apparently irked by the civil rights leader's repeated attempts to conjure up images of Limbaugh in the dock, fellow panelist and former NYPD homicide detective Bo Deitl complained that Jackson "had more skeletons in his closet than a haunted house."

Shortly after Limbaugh went public about his addiction in early October, Florida states attorney James Martz announced that the talk radio mega-star wasn't the target of his probe and that the evidence directly implicating him in illegal drug buys was flimsy at best.

Gotta love Bo!

With Roy Black as his attorney, Rush will never be prosecuted.

When, oh when, is the IRS and Department of Justice going to investigate the criminal operation of this vermin con artist?

Rev. Jackasses' first mistake is the claim about "excessive amounts of an illegal substance" - Rush was obtaining prescrption medications, for which he had a prescription, from illegal sources, in non-prescribed quantites. There's a big difference between that and "excessive amounts of an illegal substance". Jackson is a putz.

Sure...prosecute Limbaugh. The moment Jesse gets audited and tried for massive corporate extortion, misrepresentation and outright fraud.

Until such time, I believe ol' Jezzie can go pound sand.

Between his tax evasion and his extortion rackets, Jesse better keep his head down.

Talk about unequal justice...if you or I under-reported our income to the IRS as Jesse has done all these years, we would be in prison. That's where this big mouth belongs. What nerve!

That's true, and that's fine with me

But what about all the working class people who get popped for possession and get a public defender?

They are prosecuted.

Are they abusing prescription drugs?

Arrogance dishonesty and a false sense of entitlement is always the hallmark of the sociopath, such as Jackson.

"The fading civil rights leader ... "

Jackson hasn't had anything to do with real civil rights in 30+ years. It's about time he faded.

What was the point of Joe having Jessie on anyway. Why not have Barbra on talking about Reagan? I think it was classless.

What a stinkin' hypocrite. I didn't hear him shouting any cries to prosecute Clinton for his "nose like a vacuum cleaner" or Al Gore, who was apparently stoned for most of his college "career." But I guess that's different. How, I'm not exactly sure, but I'm sure Jesse can come up with something.
