Momentous historical events have a way of putting political spats in perspective. The bitter debate over whether George W. Bush actually won Florida largely ended after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. By the time media recounts, which found that Mr. Bush's victory was indeed legitimate, were released, they seemed like an afterthought.

Nixon could have contested the election, but didn't because, in spite of his enormous personal ambition, he loved America and put the good of the nation first. He was a class act.
Imagine that: Nixon had more character than Gore!

I believe that if Nixon had won the 1960 election under the exact same fraudelant conditions as JFK, if Nixon sent the first troops to Vietnam, (I believe he wouldn't), Nixon would be pilloried worse than he is now.
