Police find secret room in Michael Jackson raid

For 15 years, the Neverland ranch has been Michael Jackson's retreat from the world. But now, the walls are literally closing in on him. His fortune, his reputation, and his freedom are now at stake.

Now that a warrant is out for his arrest on multiple counts of sex abuse against a minor, Jackson's secret world is being exposed. And "Extra" is learning more dark secrets from behind the gates of Neverland.

At a stunning news conference, Santa Barbara sheriffs said they are in talks with Jackson's lawyers and negotiating for the international superstar to turn himself in.

Jackson family attorney Brian Oxman reveals to "Extra" what police found when they raided Jackson’s Neverland ranch. They found about one million pictures and thousands of videotapes, but Oxman insists that they are all innocent. He says, "They are looking at things which are the history of Michael Jackson. I don’t really think they know what they are looking for."

But "Extra" has learned about something else that police may have found at Neverland-- a secret room hidden behind the star's walk-in closet. It is a place few have seen because in it are photographs of bare-chested children, babies, toys, games, and even an autographed picture of actor Macauley Culkin signed, "Don't leave me alone in the house."

Jackson has reportedly hired attorney Mark Geragos, who worked for of Winona Ryder and Scott Peterson, to represent him. Meantime, Jackson's people have complained that the raid was carried out on the same day that his greatest hits album "Number Ones" came out, insinuating it was a publicity ploy by police. But the DA shot that theory down.

The rumors have swirled around Jackson since 1993 when sexual allegation charges were reportedly settled out of court. Then came last year's infamous baby dangling incident, followed by Jackson's stunning admission in the controversial documentary hosted by Martin Bashir.

Lorenzo Benet, a staff correspondent for People magazine says that if Jackson loses custody of his three children, his ex-wife Debby Rowe might be the next logical person to take over.

Benet says, "Now Debbie has said in the past that she didn't really have these children to be a mother but legally she is the mother. So in that situation, I think that she would probably have first shot at getting the kids."

If he is guilty he can't play the race card

Well, yer rute about that...But he can play the gender card.

What an American success story, a poor Black kid grows up to be a rich white woman...

"Being falsely accused of pedophilia will ruin anyone's life."

True..but consider that in the real world most anyone else booked on child abuse charges would find their OWN children immediately removed from their care.

Am I wrong?

Now Debbie has said in the past that she didn't really have these children to be a mother but legally she is the mother.

Okay, I don't follow these things: just why did she have these children? Just to service a pedophile? Doesn't that make her an accomplice? (Okay, different children from the current case, but....) Doesn't sound like a candidate for custody in my book.

not in the slightest. In fact in divorce cases, the accusation, no matter how unfounded, is a sure way to loose your children. It has gotten so bad that in highly contested cases, the accusation is made as a matter of course. All efforts by judges to curtail the abuse have been futile.

It's the context that is key here. You as a parent probably have many bare chested photos of your children in your photo album or wallet. Now what if you were a 45 year old single man with children and had a "secret" room with photos of bare chested children on the wall (not his own, what if this man enjoyed sleepovers with children....

No. In fact, I assumed he wouldn't be permitted around his children. I'm shocked that wasn't part of the deal he made when he turned himself in. The prosecutor must have tried. Good Grief.

"Do normal people hang photos like this in secret rooms behind their walk-in closet?"

Absoluetly not. Its where we keep the guns and ammo.

I wonder how kids find out about MJ and his Neverland ranch. They're not all 'referrals' from the Make a Wish Foundation, are they?

I've been trying to remember the last hit song he had here in the US. I wonder if it's not the parents that are the fans of him more than their kids.

Not trying to excuse any actions of MJ. I would think kids would like to hang out with a musician or actor that is popular in their era, not their parents'.

Pathetic. Makes you wonder why Michael would want small children as a single man.

Well stated friend, but try telling it to the "innocent until proven guilty" mobs who have convinced themselves that nothing happened until some 12 people chosen for their gullibility say it did happen. And so, since O.J. was found "not guilty", we must assume that his ex-wife had not been murdered!

I've just about had it with these half-witted TV drama legalisms that have infected our daily life. The death of common sense indeed!

If he is guilty he can't play the race card.

- - His brother, in a public statement, refered to the arrest as a "modern day lynching" - -

Race card in play..................

Wonder if the Congressional Black Caucus, NAACP, etc. will demand an apology as they have from Sen. Miller?

Can someone tell me what is wrong with photos of bare chested children?

Have you had one developed at the drugstore lately? They've been known to call the cops.

But his family members were screaming today on CNN that this arrest amounts to another modern-day lynching. Is that a racial statement maybe?

Hey, the Green Hornet had a secret passage in his walk-in closet. Supposedly, to get to the Black Beauty./// Although, I do recall a episode where he did break in to a little girl's bedroom one night.

No Problem...KATO, (Bruce Lee) was there to protect, The Green Hornet (Guy Williams). :/
