Police find secret room in Michael Jackson raid

For 15 years, the Neverland ranch has been Michael Jackson's retreat from the world. But now, the walls are literally closing in on him. His fortune, his reputation, and his freedom are now at stake.

Now that a warrant is out for his arrest on multiple counts of sex abuse against a minor, Jackson's secret world is being exposed. And "Extra" is learning more dark secrets from behind the gates of Neverland.

At a stunning news conference, Santa Barbara sheriffs said they are in talks with Jackson's lawyers and negotiating for the international superstar to turn himself in.

Jackson family attorney Brian Oxman reveals to "Extra" what police found when they raided Jackson’s Neverland ranch. They found about one million pictures and thousands of videotapes, but Oxman insists that they are all innocent. He says, "They are looking at things which are the history of Michael Jackson. I don’t really think they know what they are looking for."

But "Extra" has learned about something else that police may have found at Neverland-- a secret room hidden behind the star's walk-in closet. It is a place few have seen because in it are photographs of bare-chested children, babies, toys, games, and even an autographed picture of actor Macauley Culkin signed, "Don't leave me alone in the house."

Jackson has reportedly hired attorney Mark Geragos, who worked for of Winona Ryder and Scott Peterson, to represent him. Meantime, Jackson's people have complained that the raid was carried out on the same day that his greatest hits album "Number Ones" came out, insinuating it was a publicity ploy by police. But the DA shot that theory down.

The rumors have swirled around Jackson since 1993 when sexual allegation charges were reportedly settled out of court. Then came last year's infamous baby dangling incident, followed by Jackson's stunning admission in the controversial documentary hosted by Martin Bashir.

Lorenzo Benet, a staff correspondent for People magazine says that if Jackson loses custody of his three children, his ex-wife Debby Rowe might be the next logical person to take over.

Benet says, "Now Debbie has said in the past that she didn't really have these children to be a mother but legally she is the mother. So in that situation, I think that she would probably have first shot at getting the kids."

What do you think is the cut-off where it becomes unacceptable?

Like the age of consent, it has gone down over the years. Most of us in our thirties and older have one in our babybook, perhaps as late as age 5 or so. I didn't take any of my kids after about age 1, and I'd be very leery to do so at all now, even of a newborn. You never know about other people any more.

Naked babies are still CUTE. And toddlers too. But we know there are people who find them something other than cute, and so it's not simple anymore. :-(

Once again, we lose ground to the bad guys...we are the ones hiding behind locked doors, while they own and pervert the streets, the sidewalks, the TV, the newspapers...even our backyards and photo albums.

But be patient... The traffic on that site is HEAVY tonight.

It is the intent to achieve orgasm that makes it illegal. At least illegal until the homosexuals achieve their desired change in the law.

I hear Rosie O'Donnell and Paula Poundstone are in the market for some fresh adopted children.

Paula Poundstone stepping out of the shower: "I feel like a kid again."

I read that a man can teach himself to be aroused by viewing pictures of used tires while stimulating himself, twelve times in a row.

It's kind of scary when you think of how much teen porn is apparently around (or at least, how much is being pushed in spam)--all those people training themselves to be turned on by pictures of innocent children, and immature genitals and minds which would be damaged by any acting out of those fantasies.

It's not something that anyone is born with. I'm not sure if homosexuality is innate or acquired, but I'm positive that attraction to immature humans is 100% acquired.

These look more like the good old fashioned kind of leak: beer. Cops hang out in particular bars, journalists that cover cops also hang out in those bars, poor a couple beers in one of the cops and eventually the cop will utter the money sentence: "you wouldn't believe the sh!t we found." People that know stuff other people don't, especially really interesting far out stuff, they WANT to tell it. One of the oldest rules of social engineering is that the fastest way to get somebody to blab something is to tell them it's a secret. In high profile strange cases like this you'll get a lot of these leaks for about 2 weeks after the arrest, then it dries up as the number of people "in the know" drops too low to be able to blab without getting in trouble.

Use common sense for a minute. The cops aren't going to bring "multiple counts" of child molestation against a famous millionaire unless they have a good deal of corroborated evidence.

The issue here isn't about pajama parties and sleep overs. It's about child molestation. People can dress that up all they want but all they're doing is obsfucating the most predatory, heinous, socially-destructive acts possible against an individual.

I agree if they prove something this time around. But I think the guy is an asexual freak living in some dreamland trying to recapture his childhood.

He may be the father of those kids he throws off balconies but there is no way there was physical pentration with his sex organ with the mother

Had to be medical science or something!

And no one had the guts to say this guy is a freak but If he were a republican he'd be the devil himself.

There is a 'unauthorized' book about him called "FREAK". I got it free at a book show earlier this year and read it out of boredom. Interesting. They have long know about the secret room and the pictures, since the last incident in 93.

But they let him out on $3M bail, which is spending money for him, and they didn't forbid him access to his children (or any others???) while he's out on bail.

I question how serious they are about this, actually. You or I couldn't get a surrender deal like this for charges half so serious.

It's not a problem to you that the grey areas between acceptable and unacceptable sexual behavior have grown so vast that there's no black-and-white anymore at all?

It bothers me a lot that there are people who would use my children sexually...and that my courts keep letting them go free, without so much as a brand on the forehead to let us know who they are.

It bothers me that so many people are defending pedophilia as if it is a natural thing, a freedom, a right.

"Homosexual pedophilia", is what they are not addressing in this issue. I have yet to hear anyone use the word "homosexual"..Amazing.

Well, I'm not interested in letting straight pedophiles off the hook. If it's a child below the age of consent, it's criminal, period.

Ask anyone who was a victim of child molestation, gay or straight. It always appears to have a lifelong debilitating effect.

I believe more people, male and female, attempt suicide because of having been molested than for any other single reason.

Naked babies are still CUTE.

Agreed.

And toddlers too.

I remember a pic of me at two, taking a bath in a washtub on the kitchen table. My mom could be in trouble for taking such a picture today. Why? Because the guy at the drugstore has a dirty mind?

It's an invasion of privacy. One reason why film is becoming obsolete. If it's a pic of your own kids there should be no questions asked.

But if they're not your kids... someone should ask "why?"
