The Illinois Amber Alert system was activated Monday afternoon by the Millstadt Police Department after the boy was abducted from his school

Raymond Blake Crump-Wills was abducted Monday morning December 1 from the Millstadt Illinois Consolidated School by two adults.

He is a white male, 10 yrs., 5'3", 130 lbs. with light brown hair and blue eyes, wearing leather jacket, gray sweatshirt, Old Navy white shirt, black pants with white stripe.

Police are looking for Nicole Ray,white female, 30 yrs., 5'8", 120 lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes. The second suspect is reported to be Brady Lee Ray, white male, 35 yrs., 5'10", 145 lbs. with brown hair and green eyes.

The suspects are driving a red Ford Taurus with Kentucky license and believed to be heading to Greenville, Kentucky.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Millstadt Police Department at 618-476-7250 or dial 911.

Well we know one thing: those folks are not supposed to have the boy. That's a kidnap even if they aren't strangers. I will be praying for the boy's safety and his rightful parent(s)/gaurdian(s).

The Illinois State Police canceled the Amber Alert Monday afternoon after the boy was found safe in Kentucky.

Maybe he is almost eleven. In any event, these stories are pitiful; children treated as pawns and worse. Hope he is safe.

True enough...as I understand the Amber Alert system, though, it's not designed for use in family-related situations, but rather in stranger kidnappings. Dunno if that applies here, but I fear that overuse of the system will cause people to become desensitized to it.

True in the Legal sense.... However I don't think the Amber Alert system should be used in custody disputes... there are hundreds of these cases every day.. if we overuse the system people will start to ignore it...

you are abosultely correct that is why it is not wise to get the who world in an uproar every time it happens.. in MOST cases the children are not in danger.. and the "abduction" can be handled by local authorities in cooperation with other agencies if necessary...
