Gee, I say Encarta is a liberal PC dictionary, and you go look up racist words and the liberal PC Encarta is all for it. Who would of thought?

Try a drift through conservative terms and see how twisted and derogitory they are.

Anyways, there hasn't be a decent dictionary in 50 years.

Every couple of years you hear about some new "super bullet". Some, like the Black Talons, are actually pretty good, but none are ever revolutionary.

How many rounds are there that punch a tiny hole through a steel plate and then disintegrate when it hits flesh?

Tungsten ball payload. Is this the environmentally correct ammunition they mandated during the Clinton administration? Tungsten costs about a twenty bucks an ounce.

I seem to remember reading about how, after the executive order went out, someone realized that China had about 90% of the world's supply of tungsten.

Partly, with the changeover said to be taking effect by 2005. But they've announced a drive toward a tungsten-core 5.56mm M995 loading for the M16A2 and M4 carbines as well, prompting a serious interest in the SF community for the improved 6.8mm SPC Remington cartridge instead.

See info here regarding the *Green Bullet* tungsten ammo for small arms.

And check out an early report on the 6.8 SPC *here.*

They work. The first round up in my magazine is a tracer, allowing immediate correction onto target at night, and at worst, possibly convincing the recipient to duck, quit or run.

The second is one of my too-few rounds of LeMas *blended metal* ammo from a test and evaluation session at Camp Robinson back last March. In case the target involved doesn't duck, quit or run, and my corrected round goes spot-on, I care enough to send the very best.

Do you think those will ever be available over the counter?

I expect that like armor piercing rounds, they'll most likely remain very special purpose. The best bet for an individual who has use for 'em but isn't getting them as a line-of-duty use item will probably be to get them from someone who does.

In my case, trying to buy them from me wouldn't work, but a swap for a pizza dinner, or as an included magazine full with a weapons purchase might.
