A U.S. appeals court yesterday upheld the dismissal of a libel suit brought by a former Navy pilot against Elaine Donnelly and her Center for Military Readiness.

A three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia ruled unanimously that District Court Judge Royce C. Lamberth correctly threw out the suit brought by Carey Dunai Lohrenz.

However, this opens up another can 'o worms. What if some reporter on the left successfully obtained the flight records of the President?

My guess is that the flight records of the President have been obtained and since there was nothing derogatory or negative in them nothing they have been ignored by the left.

Affirmative action promotions of women and minorities has been the rule in the military for years. The quota's MUST be filled. The result is obvious.

Lorhenz is the prototypical whining harpey, demanding special treatment while simultaneously demanding to be accepted as an equal. A triumph of radical feminism.

It's already been done. Apparently Bush was a good pilot. Much better than Carey Dunai Lohrenz can claim.

In Bush's evaluation for the period May 1, 1971 through April 30, 1972, then-Colonel Bobby Hodges, his commanding officer, stated, "I have personally observed his participation, and without exception, his performance has been noteworthy."

Including his recent carrier landing? ;-)

Seriously, the one to worry would be John "Reverse Ace" McCain.

Mrs. Donnelly is a hero to Naval Aviation. Due to her efforts, the Navy has gotten it's training act together again.

If Lt. Carey "Scary" Lohrenz had a (detectable) penis, she would have never sat in a Tomcat, much less flown one. Pat Burns is a heroic friend who sacrificed his career for the rest of us. "Scary" will probably keep it up until slapped down by the Supreme Court, because she was one who thought a Tomcat ride was her divine right, rather than an earned privilege. What makes this decision so sweet is that another woman wrote the opinion.

"Scary" knew that personal reflection is the mark of a good officer. She knew that people were refusing to fly with her, and she knew that she got extra chances that were in direct violation of the rules. She is lucky that she didn't die like "Revlon" did. Today is a good day for the Navy, tonight former and present Tomcat drivers will raise our glasses again for Donnelly tonight.

I met a Naval aviator (F-14) in a gun shop about 8 or 9 years ago and when we began to discuss the death of the woman pilot who crashed I discovered he was really mad.

I got the impression that a lot of pilots were on the verge of resignation after that and also the tailhook scandal which was much less than appeared.

I was at Tailhook, and I came very close to quitting twice. Once because of the lies told by female aviators about their own activities, then again when Congress came down on Bob Stumpf, who was good enough to command the Blue Angels, but not good enough for Politically Correct Congress.

We had a right to be angry about Kara and Carey because the job is dangerous enough without a couple of incompetent Sheilas up there putting scank-stank on your shit. Hell, Kara once forgot to shut down an engine on the flight deck, and almost sucked up a yellow-shirt. I KNOW they would have tossed me over the side for that maneuver, yet she stayed and would have probably gone up the chain has she not pulled her famous rudder-for-lineup move that finally took her life.

Tailhook was what it always was. Aggressive men mixed with alcohol. You know the rest. Anyone unable to hang in that environment, should not have been there. You don't get gold wings for being a pussy. I fear the day that some sensitive woman with penis-envy is all that stands between a Backfire bomber and any place I happen to be. I'm going to shut up now. I already said too much.

You actually sound like the guy I met. This was at Liberty Sport Shop in DeFuniak Springs, Florida.

The owner was a retired Air Force Colonel and had flown just about everything in the inventory, including U2's from 1942 until his retirement.

Of course the two aviators enjoyed talking flying.

I think Bush flew an F102. If he did that and is still alive,---he was a good pilot.

Partner you ain't said enough, come to a real EOD party sometime and I will teach you the DOFA (Dance of the Flaming Asshole). Your carrier landings on the beer soaked table are nothing to compare to it.
