Republican presidential nominees 2008

Posted on 12/19/2003 2:58:48 AM PST by Reader of news

I think President Bush will be re-elected next year surely. Nevertheless, there is not any sure candidate for Republican presidential nomination in 2008. I think John McCain, Jeb Bush, Rick Perry, Condoleezza Rice, George Pataki and Bill Frist may be candidates.

Rice is also Pro-Palestinian

Just because Rice criticized the security fence does NOT mean she is Pro-Palestinian. What are you smokin'?

Are you aware that the security fence idea was proposed by the left-leaning Labour Party and opposed by the right-wing Israelis? Why do you think that is? Because they're pro-Palestinian? I don't think so.

The following are NOT endorsements:

Bill Owens and Bill Frist will be the early favorites. Here is my patented NewLand DARK HORSE prediction as an entry/contender:

Craig Benson...(R) Governor of New Hampshire.

Could Be Benson?

Come to your senses - there are many good distinguished conservatives that would be better than Rice - Santorum, Owens, Jeb.

As I said before, Rice would not make a good Prez, yet, but could make a good VP. She needs to change her tune on abortion and AA if she wants to be nominated.

I'm all for Owens. He's the man.

Glad we can agree on Owens. Hard to imagine a conservative who would have problems with the guy. He's got straight A's so far as Governor of Colorado. A true rising star.

Unfortunately in this day and age you have to go with electibility. I say it'll be Frist.

Definitely JEB! As a plus he connects VERY WELL with Hispanic voters. I heard him on Spanish langauge radio earlier today and his Spanish is excellent!

In the age of television, a candidate simply will not win unless he's got a full head of hair.

So maybe Rudy can solve this problem by choosing Sy Sperling as his running mate.

I agree. Roosevelts, Kennedys, Daleys, Adamses, Gottis, Bushs, Earnhardts.

Don't forget the Gucciones.

Hmmmmm

I have a suspicion that it won't matter who--though Rudy G would be a great prospect . . .

It seems to me that there will likely be no election in 2008 or it will be HYPORAT regardless of what Republican runs.

I sure hope I'm wrong.

It seems to me that the fury of the hard commie left will be even worse by then. The globalists plans will be much more advanced. And far too many middle of the roaders will have bought into the propaganda of both camps--which are really part and parcel of the same camp.

Even some conservatives might be ready for a shift in power. Sigh.

RE your post #313 - I read somewhere that Gov Bush has a higher than average GOP approval rating with women, too.

Good tagline!

Thanx. I've also been thinking of using this alternative:

"Saddam's palace is separated from his Rat Hole by a distance of 537 Florida votes."
