Wily Gotham super-criminal The Penguin confidently discusses his latest master plan "to wipe out that meddlesome Batman once and for all!" at yesterday's press conference. :)

"We have to make sure that we work with our allies and that we treat them with respect, and that we understand the importance of the United Nations . . . Some people never get it! Bush just demonstrated that the U.S. doesn't NEED the cooperation of the rest of the world. Therefore, worldwide public opinion is much less a factor. Therefore, Bush wins round one.
We are engaged in a raw power struggle with these radical Islamists. The Albright's and Carter's of the world are incapable of handling this type of situation just like they were babes facing the evil of North Korean leadership.

A former ambassador to the U.N., Albright has been outspoken in her criticism of President Bush for sidestepping the international organization in going to war in March. That's funny -- considering this is exactly what Albright and the Clinton Administration did when they toppled Slobodan Milosevic in Serbia in 1999.

sidestepping the international organization in going to war in March. Sidestepping is it? Hmm, correct me if I am wrong, but didn't 90+ countries sign on before? Didn't the Security Council vote unanimously for it? What am I missing here?

Why does anyone care what this ridiculous kidergarten teacher says about anything?
She is a relic of a failed State Dept. in a failed Administration.

No, the UN Sec. COuncil did not vote for it.
Notwithstanding this fact, we have several allies working with us in Iraq, which hardly makes it a "unilateral" undertaking.
When the left says we're "unilateralist" they mean that we didn't subordinate our policy to FRANCE and that makes them sick.
Like Dean said the other day, US foreign policy is subject to what France thinks.

I'm sure she was joking when she said this...

Grandpa was a lot smarter and nicer. You should be ashamed of demeaning him so, by the implied association with Albright. ;-)

No, the UN Sec. COuncil did not vote for it Are you sure about that? Res. 1442? It was unanimous, but they didn't/wouldn't enforce it. So WE did.

Apparently, THIS is Albright's preferred method for how to deal with mass-murdering dictators.
