Earthquake Strikes Iran, U.S. Says

wow. I, for one, did not realize that we're that powerful. I wonder if we can convince them that it's a message from allah, telling them to give up the nuke program and that the mullahs should surrender immediately...

"The earthquake hit at 5:27 a.m. local time Friday —"

For a few seconds some Iranian Mullahs thought the sum of all their fears had materialized at the hand of Israel.

Hopefully only they and their kind were injured.

This is the third year in a row with below average large (magnitude 7+) earthquake activity.

This year it was REALLY low.

It has been 11 years since since Humboldt County has had a 6 or better quake. In 1992 we had a 6.5 6.8 and a 7.1 in less than 24 hours. Now that will "shake" your confidence.

As a side note we have only had 2 minor quakes in over 3 weeks and that really has me shaking as we need those small ones to relieve the stress. I called Prof Lori Dengler at HSU just before the SLO quake about it but she is more concerned about the lack of big ones.

Any chance this could have been an underground nuke test?
