BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- U.S. forces operating in the so-called Sunni Triangle -- the region of Iraq most loyal to captured former dictator Saddam Hussein -- found a significant weapons cache that included al Qaeda literature and videotapes, the U.S. military said Tuesday.

"What did Bush know and when did he know it ?" According to Halfbright and the Dims, we had him locked in that hole in the ground for several months. LOL!

Good speech. Glad I read it. The General has some laugh out loud lines in there and a lot of good sense.
Where was the speech delivered?

I*ll check where he made that speech.
It came today in a email from south Florida from a WWII Navy vet who survived being torpedoed in the Pacific.
Obviously one Southerner who was converted from democrat to Republic along with many others over the years.
Here*s the scoop on the George Soros / algore / Dr. Dean connection:
http://www.hillnews.com/news/042303/goreschiff.aspx "Her husband, Andrew "Drew" Schiff, is a physician-turned-biotech venture capitalist for a fund backed by financier George Soros.
Their relative affluence allows them to live on the city*s Upper East Side, while his job gives her an entrée into the world of high finance.
In New York, Gore Schiff seems to have assembled the ingredients for a political career: a passion for issues, family, wealth, an avenue to broadcast her views in Glamour magazine, a $200,000 advance from Miramax Books for a book on unsung American heroines.
Cindi Leive, editor in chief of the magazine, hosted a party on Gore Schiff*s behalf at the Upper East Side restaurant Jo Jo for an article Gore Schiff wrote in the magazine*s November issue on child-care dilemmas facing working mothers.
In 2001, Gore Schiff wrote a Glamour article criticizing the Bush administration, which led to accusations on conservative websites that she talked down to her audience and proposed government-only solutions to vexing social problems - much like the attacks on her father.
Leive told The Hill that *I think she speaks with great authority about what it is like to be a young mother and a politically concerned young woman today* and that Gore Schiff would definitely write again.
For now, Gore Schiff said, she is focused on persuading her son to eat more than chocolate ice cream and only the pepperoni from pizza.
Until November, she had been working part time as a first-year associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, a prominent New York City law firm. *It just wasn*t for me,* she said, referring to the culture of a big law firm where face time counts as much as billable hours.
She is now working for the Association to Benefit Children (ABC), a nonprofit group with a $13 million annual budget.
The new job gives her flexibility to attend to her kids but also brought her here to attend the Children*s Defense Fund*s annual conference and hobnob with politicos, children*s advocates and potential donors."
Friends, relatives, FreeRepublic, and GOOGLE dig out those forgotten little items that now all seem to come together so smoothly.
This Soros/algore/Dean item was emailed to me earlier by my cousin in CT.
She is a reformed lib and very dangerous to whacko lefties!.

train wrecks .. BWAHAHAHAHA!
after the revelations about Syria's direct involvement as a Middle East military arms middle man operative, even Mussolini couldn't keep keep these trains from flying off the tracks.

"Schiff Happens"
Great Norm!
Could not get a reponse back from my cousin this late so I traced it down to "The Hill" earlier this year.
She will probably have more for me tomorrow.
This beats "algore and The Temple of Payoffs"
I*m waiting to see which talk radio hosts jump on this with the full force of the VRWC Research Department staff.
Soros may have the bucks, but Putin*s guys have the computers and documents from his office in Russia.
I forsee some links to Islamic money laundering and illegal international financial games.
George Soros is a big pro-druggie guy too; you can bet he has contacts all over the world in that "enterprise".
