The problem I see with figures like this is that defferent people wil attribute it to different causes. Gun controlers will attribute it to the effectiveness of gun controll laws and call for more, Gun freedom advocates to voluntary safety programs and CC laws and call for less regulation.
It's hard to get more support for those things which actually work if people won't agree on what they are.

Lowest gun deaths?
Well, that doesn't make it any easier on me. My old .22 pistol died last weekend. Sure, it was forty years old and all, but I'm still going to miss it.

CCW saves lives!
Tom Daschle is saddened... deeply saddened...
Hillary was last seen aboard Broomstick One, flying east...

Actually, the reason gun deaths are so low is we no longer have a bayonette or flash supressor on the front to give the barrel rigidity, or a good floppy and loose folding butt stock to make us grasp the pistol grip tighter as we spray and pray at our enemies.
Remember, according to a woman congressman the AW is a rifle that NEVER MISSES!

"...and 1,000 accidental deaths caused by natural heat or cold..."
The libs should be introducing legislation to outlaw all temperatures that do not adhear to their 65 to 85 degree guidelines. "If it saves just one life..."
The Second Amendment, the one that gaurantees all the rest.
Best Regards

Well, all those gun laws must finally be getting through to those guns; since it is the guns that kill people, the guns must be listening to the dnc threats. Guess we already have 'smart guns'.

Remove the gun related deaths due to Black gun deaths and the result is that the United States is one of the safest gun owning nation in the world.
The murder rate of the counties that vored for Gore is 13.2 per 1000,000 vs 2.1 for the counties that voted for Bush.
It is obvious what the problem is.

Here is an interesting criminal statistic for your consideration.
To: BIGZ
Blacks shoot each other due to blacks dominating drug gangs. The cause has nothing to do with race. And it's a solvable problem, just like the gang violence that accompanied Prohibition.
In other words: Yes, our murder rate is the result of government policies, just not the policies the gun-grabbers think of.

I'd like to see the actual source for the figures. I went to the NSC website and there is nothing about this. There is a members only section though, maybe its there.
Kind of tough to use this for debating with the left when the source is Ruger.
