I know you can do better than that.

I know Bush will have to if he wants to sell his new enchilada stand.

Those that are outraged by this need to join the American Independent Party. This is over the top. Bush's overspending, not securing the borders, and now virtually opening the floodgates of our borders. Wake up people the Republican party has "left" us.

"I used to think that most freepers had some form of intelligence. Have you ever thought that this program might attract more illegals to cross the border?"

Thanks Doc for stating what should be the obvious. Can't believe how too many freepers think this might be a good thing. The end of America as we know it is right around the corner. I'll be dead, but feel so sorry for the next generations who will have to deal with the results of our government's rotten immigration policies.

By the way, Bill Frist will agree with anything that Bush wants or says, as he's probably going to be replacing Dick Cheney on the ticket as Vice President, for the next election. Let's see if my calculated guess is accurate. If not VP, he'll get a cabinet post. I smell it, and my female intuition antennae are up and waiving.

AH, a calm voice in the storm.

I would like this paired with 245(i) revokation, and end to chain migration, and documentation fraud reform, ie real immigration law enforcement.

Then and only then it might make sense.

I'd like to hear the story of Americans who have been. It might change my mind.

One of my history profs used to pick grapes and grapefruits with the migrant workers when he was a teenager. He was fired when his boss found out he had a high school diploma.

> Supporting moderates and moving the GOP to the left does not advance conservatism >

Our extremists have to be taught again and again that extremists of any political persuasion will never get what they want. Never. Ever. The best they will ever be able to do is minimize displeasure. They can never maximize pleasure. That is what the political spectrum is all about.

As for advancing conservatism, note that our extremists who are posturing in so self righteous a way are essentially, as conservatives who want government action in society minimized, angry that Bush did not announce greater government enforcement action. How absurd is this?
