Just got off the phone with my daughter. I didn't get to see her and the grandkids this week, and next week she isn't off work until FRIDAY!!!

I told her that by then I'll have lost enough weight that they won't recognize me. I asked her if I should wear a name tag. (She said she thought I'd be okay to "come as you are." LOL)

Really an eye open isn't it. I work the election with several other "nice" ladies. We all know each other and every one who votes. Doesn't take our leader long to ask those who have already voted to leave the building after they have voted....no lollygaggy allowed.

Don't know how we'd handle a visitor here! I'd bet not too friendly, particularly if they were lawyers from out of state. Certainly would not have allowed them to set up camp in our room.

H&%$#$%@ we even questioned a slight irregularity last election. All of us. Dem & Rep alike..... By the book and that's how we like it.

It will be 61 degrees here today.
But dang, I have the fever and chills again. Just when I think I'm all over this flu thingie (if that's what it is) it returns again. I hate the fever/chills. It makes me so weak and achey. It started before Christmas. Now for the first time, it is accompanied with congestion.

Gabz. It was only allowed because the Republicans didn't make a call at the time it was happening. They should have not only questioned it but called their superior. No excuse for the Party workers.

As far as the "buying vote goes" That must be controlled from outside the building. We need to get watchers outside as well as inside. They need to be trained on what is legal,what to look for, what to do, who to contact. Just get tougher! Bullying/ bribery (and that's what it is) is only allowed if no one calls them on it.

I worked polling places for years in Delaware - and like you, we wouldn't have cottoned too well to out of state visitors.

and no way would we tolerate politicing inside the polling place.

i remember one time that a candidate was thrown out of a polling place because it was not his polling place and thus had violated the 100 feet from the entrance law for politicing ---he was a Dem candidate and it was the Democrat at the judges table that threw him out.
