January 10, 2004 -- WASHINGTON - Men, evangelicals and rural voters are supporting President Bush by big margins at the start of this election year, while traditionally Democratic-leaning groups such as women have more divided loyalties, an Associated Press poll found. More people say they will definitely vote for Bush's re-election, 41 percent, than say they will definitely vote against him, 33 percent, according to the poll conducted by Ipsos-Public Affairs.

Women were more divided, with 39 percent saying they would definitely vote for someone else.

Unstated: 61% of women asked would vote for W.

If you don't make a donation to Free Republic, then that's one more thing you have in common with Patrick Leahy.

Get out your 2000 voting results "Bush Country" map. THe way the polls are shaping up, it could very well be a repeat of the same red/blue pattern. Although, Bush will probably get the majority of the popular vote in 2004.

"Women were more divided, with 39 percent saying they would definitely vote for someone else."

That figure got me thinking about my courting days, and how many of the "babes" needed more than just good looks, honesty, and being polite on a date.

And with GWB being all those things, these poor wenches [39%] probably need a "rogue" in the White House they can fantasize about.

Leaving computer desk, and heading for the fallout shelter .......

That 39% is still nostalgic for the days that there WAS a rogue in the White House. It's like a romance novel - the woman falls for the rogue, but doesn't appreciate the fine upstanding hero with the white cowboy hat! I'm proud to be in the 61% of women, not the 39%.

Lol, they wish.

My apologies, this really is the perfect all-occassion response to comments made by the terrorist appeasers these days:

''When you men get home and face an anti-war protester, look him in the eyes and shake his hand. Then, wink at his girlfriend, because she knows she's dating a pussy.'' -- Tommy Franks   (Cannoneer No. 4)

Hey, Flyboy! Women voters agree: President Bush is a hottie!  ^

Every time I see some halfway-decent woman who's hooked up with an unemployed wife-beating alcoholic -- or Alec Baldwin -- I wonder what's going on in her mind.

Exactly!

Of course, we, not having many female hormones, [most of we males] cannot understand why they would stay and put up with that garbage.

I then think, "they are going to vote?" , and dream of repealing the 18th Amendment.

Upon awakening, I understand that this is but one of many faults we, as humans, have. ;)
