I received the document today from Jan Willem van der Hoeven, Director of the International Christian Zionist Center. After speaking with him, I have no doubt that the below account is authentic and accurate. It must be widely disseminated. - David Wilder

An amazing report
Jan Willem van der Hoeven
Director, International Christian Zionist Center

This amazing report written by my friend and journalist Dmitry Radyshevsky came this morning into my hands. I publish it hereby in full as I believe this voice needs to be widely heard.

Recently he, the executive director of the First Annual International Jerusalem Summit, had an in-depth conversation with a very influential Palestinian Arab who no longer resides in the territories. While he now can afford the luxuries of open thought and free speech, his identity must be protected.

The conversation appears here without commentary. His revealing analysis provides a concise formula for resolving the Palestinian/Israeli conflict, reveals insight into current Palestinian thinking, and should be a daily reminder of what Israel is enduring.

"Israel won the first intifada. The Palestinians were exhausted. Arafat was at his lowest point in Tunisia. At that time Israel could have imposed any solution, and the Palestinians would have accepted it. Instead, you went to Oslo - without consulting with either Arabs in the territories or Jordan ... And the Arabs concluded that Arafat had won.

"Palestinians were prepared to accept the status quo - a de facto peace - but Israel imposed on them the Arafat Gang with the old Arab mentality - rejection of any peace with Israel. The first thing that the PLO did upon return was to close down the opposition newspapers and fire every independent journalist.

"After Oslo, Palestinians thought we would have lightly armed police to keep public order. But when we saw these guys with submachine guns, we exclaimed: 'This is not police - this is fedayeen'. They made it clear right away: 'We came back to continue the struggle. It is more convenient to fight Israel from here than from Tunisia.'

"The 'police' installed a dozen armed structures, all in the business of robbery, rape, and extortion. A relative of mine had a store next door to a headquarters. These 'officers' would come in every day, take whatever they wanted, and tell him to put it on the organization's account. When the amount reached 15,000 shekels, they arrested the owner and accused him of being an Israeli spy. They kept him in the basement for three days and let him go only when he agreed to forget the debt. When he came home, he prayed to Allah to erase these 'headquarters'. A few months later, Israelis bombed the building. He called me saying: 'Allah heard my prayers!' Any Palestinian can tell you a dozen stories like this.

"Israeli Operation Defensive Shield made Palestinians more free by putting the PA security services out of business, which reduced the number of rapes, acts of extortion, and torture.

"Israel keeps misleading us by sending wrong signals. They say Arafat is no longer a partner, but Sharon is about to meet with Abu Ala, and Omri Sharon meets with Rajoub. But among the Palestinians everybody knows them as Arafat's people. And so the Palestinians think that in fact Israel is plotting to make Arafat strong ... You should either acknowledge you're working with him or get rid of his gang once and forever. Be straight and consistent. Tell the truth.

"Jerusalem Arabs want to keep their permanent resident status; they see what is going on in the West Bank and what Arafat has done to them ... They panic; they say, Labor wants to hand us over to Arafat and Labor wants to bring Hamas to Jerusalem. Israel could turn them into an example for other Arabs: if you are loyal permanent residents in Israel, you will live as well as Israelis do.

"Palestinians want to go back to the pre-1987 situation, when one could travel from Ramallah to Ramat Gan, to earn money and go back home, without Arafat or check points.

"You must force Lebanon and Syria to remove limitations on Palestinian refugees - let them settle where they want and let them work. Don't say they need to disband the camps. Force them to remove the limitations on leaving, and Palestinians will leave the camps of their own will.

"You must disarm all of Arafat's armed forces and leave only a civilian administration. If you don't do it now, Arafat will be followed by thousands more 'arafats'.

"Enter the territories, disarm all the 'security services', and stay there. If you let the people know you are there to stay, that you will not allow the jihadists to return and multiply, people will believe in you and help you.

"Palestinians will not fight for Arafat. Intifada is not a popular revolt; it's a war conducted by several armed groups.

"The only other alternative you have is to go back and hide behind the 1967 borders, and then prepare for the worst: Hamas in the Old City and French Hill, and the total war for destruction. Then both Jews and Arabs will die.

"No one will say any of this in the open. First you must enter the territories and prove you're serious. And then I'll give you 500 influential Arabs who will support you."

May God Himself open the eyes of Israel's leaders to the cry of this courageous man!

The only thing amazing about this report is the claim that it is "semi-official" in nature; a verbalization from the horse's mouth, so to speak. Every bit of it is common sense and obvious to anyone with a firm grasp of the nature of islam, arab culture and the history of the last 56 years.

That would be anybody with time on Free Republic!

Thanks for posting this, Nix. It's like listening to an anonymous Iraqi citizen before the war.

I think I speak for an innumerable amount of people in expressing the most infuriating frustration with the whole scenario. The IDF should roll on Ramallah tomorrow; "Operation Iraqi Freedom II" but in smaller form, and end this immoral, criminal, and terrorist enterprise, which is Arafat and the PA.

I have one problem with this: in essence, this Arab is saying, "Israel, save us from ourselves!" He does not have the courage to use his name. He does not undertake any action to end Arafat's rule, or at least none he is willing to publicize.

Israel has an obligation to protect Israel. If the best way, from Israel's perspective, is to end the PA cancer from Oslo and directly control Judea and Samaria, so be it. If it is to wall the West Bank off and let them stew in their own juice, that is for the Israelis to decide.

The Israelis don't owe the palestinians salvation. Ultimately, liberty cannot be given, it must be earned. If this Arab believes what he said, he should be organizing an overthrow of Arafat himself, not only pleading with the Israelis to do it for him.

Christian Action for Israel

The Rest of the Story

Excerpts-1996:
As reported last May, Tore Godal was chairman of the Labour Party's Youth Organization (AUF) when, 25 years ago, it committed itself to "support the forces which struggle for the national and social liberation of the Palestinian people". "The qualification for lasting peace," the AUF insisted, "must be that Israel ceases to exist as a Jewish state, and that a progressive Palestinian state is established where all ethnic groups can live side by side in complete equality".

Now we can reveal that, six years later, top Oslo Accords architect and Norway's recently appointed minister of planning, Terje Roed Larsen, was on the editorial committee of the Norwegian publication Palestine News (Issue No1) when it stated: "Fight the Zionistic State of Israel, US imperialism, and the enemies of the Palestinian people in the Arab world. 'No' to a two-state solution - support the battle for the liberation of all of Palestine."

Israelis will most recently remember Larsen as the man who, with a spring in his step, entered the building straddling the "border" between Gaza and "Israel proper' on September 4 to witness the latest fruits of his handiwork - the first meeting and handshake between Yasser Arafat and Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.

Right now, Larsen is battling for his young political life after a Norwegian tabloid on November 10 fingered him for financial mismanagement of state-sponsorship to the tune of millions of Norwegian kroner, accusing him of breaching Norway's strict institution governing laws.

******************************************************************

FROM THE EDITOR
It's no longer news that the Oslo Accords are morally rotten. By turning a mass murderer and his designs into a globally lauded statesman and cause, instead of punishing him for crimes against humanity, the "'Oslo process" has done nothing less than richly reward the man most responsible for bringing the concept and experience of terrorism into our lives.

Slowly, the lies on which this wall of false peace was built are surfacing. Interestingly, the revelations relate to many of the men and women who maintained they had the best interests of Arabs and Jews at heart when they set up the secret Israel-PLO meetings in 1993.

Nothing built on so shaky a foundation can stand. Whether at Hebron, or Jerusalem, this process is bound to collapse, and great will be its fall.

Meanwhile, international anger and frustration against Israel is mounting by the hour, with news organisations like the BBC raging against Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu for opposing the desires and aims of the entire world.

To encourage Israel's leader in these lonely times, Norma Archbold - writer of "'The Mountains of Israel" - sent Netanyahu an open letter in which she reminded him of Israel's millions of Christian and Jewish friends: "'We are behind you - a powerful force more compelling than the empty cardboard men who seek to prevent the Jewish people from rejoicing in the promises of God. And daily our numbers grow as more people recognise the absolute evil of forces that seek to destroy the Jews.

"'There is no turning back. Where will you go? We are a high wall behind you and we will not retreat. So there is only one choice. Stand up to the enemy and be true to God and to your friends."

May these words, and many other similar sentiments, reach the prime minister's ears, and strengthen him.

Peres: PM using spies against Labor
By GIL HOFFMAN AND NINA GILBERT
UN Special envoy Terje Larsen reportedly smuggled Palestinian Administration PM Ahmed Qurei into Israel in his car to a meeting held at the home of the Norwegian ambassador to Israel - Mona Joul, who is also Larsen's wife.

According to a report by a top Shinbet official, also present at the meeting were opposition leader Shimon Peres, Ambassador Avi Gil and Uri Savir, head of the Peres Center for Peace.

******************************************************************

The meeting took place last Tuesday between Peres and Qurei in Tel Aviv at the home of Terje Roed-Larsen.

Sharon also complained about another meeting between Israelis and Palestinians, held at the home of US Ambassador Dan Kurtzer. He said one of the committee members - referring to Labor MK Haim Ramon -- took part in the meeting. ....

******************************************************************

He continued by saying that on January 13, at 1 p.m., Qurei traveled with Saeb Ereket to Israel for a meeting with Peres, Terje Larsen Avi Gil and Uri Savir.

Light unto the Neighbor

Opening/Closing Remarks

GOALS of the Summit: "To establish an international forum, based in Jerusalem, developing a joint strategy against the twin dangers: of the totalitarianism of the East (radical Islam) and moral relativism of the West, which erodes our resolve to fight that Evil".
<...> The conference is a world forum for all the sane people <...> If a PLO terrorist state were created now, it would be like Hitler winning Stalingrad <...> Israel has to assume moral leadership. It should stop reacting. It should start acting… Israel was restored to become a light unto the nations. <...> The basis of the unity of mankind should be the moral basis of the Bible, and the place for that unity should be Jerusalem."

Yes, I am well aware of Arafat's thugs brutality. That is not the reason to cower, that is the reason to fight them with every means available. Ultimately, the Israelis cannot end Arafat's reign, palestinians have to.

Furthermore, those were 'collaberators' I don't think helping the Israelis is the key. The key will be palestinians resisting Arafat on their own.

Think back to the history of our own revolution, the cause of independence was very weak, until the British tried to use brutality to end it, then many more rallied around the cause. The palestinians are not rallying, they are cowering. Without the blood of patriots, the tree of liberty dies.

"Israel keeps misleading us by sending wrong signals"

That is it. In a nutshell.

You can't earn respect if you are not respecting yourself first.

Not negating European anti-Semitism and kissing oil-rich asses, but at least half of the Israel's problems are creation of Israeli themselves. Leftist idiots created criminal Oslo. But nobody (in power) has resolve to remove PA and Arafat. Israeli themselves voted in Barak. They corrected it later with Sharon... But, despite being demonized by the Left as right-wing hawk, and a bigger terrorist than Arafat, he adapted the unilateral disengagement model (before that championed by the Left). Israelis did not vote in any significant numbers of his right-wing opponents. And the mixed signals continue all the time.

Its amazing how so many smart people don't get it: you project weakness and doubts in your own rights, and you are going to be challenged. You project strength and resolve, and the chance of attack greatly diminishes. Its so much safer to look strong then weak. What's so difficult to understand?
