Excuse me if I presume something that’s untrue. I’ve found that virtually everyone who promotes hermetically sealed borders imagines it as part of a disengaged foreign policy, abandoning relationships with states like Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Pakistan etc with mixed cooperation on terrorism.

You can be damn sure if they set off a nuclear weapon (or two) in this country, it will come to a billion of them dead. Americans are a tolerant people, probably too tolerant, but if that happens, it will make what happened to the Japanese after Pearl Harbor look like tea at Aunt Martha's.

Remember the famous quote (speaker's name escapes me, but he was a top military leader in WWII at the beginning) "When I'm finished, the only place Japanese (Arabic) will be spoken is in hell".

Like Jonah Goldberg said a few months ago (paraphrase) "Terrorists be careful what you wish for, 'cause you just might get it, and you DON'T want jihad with America". From some of the earlier posts here, looks like Al Quaeda has found that out the hard way already.
