Here's one where "Daleel" seems a bit more mellow:

May God Bless you and bless your kids
Dear Anna
may god bless you and bless your kids and your family for the great way in raisng them, thats the basic teachings of the 3 religons. we have a saying in Islam about mothers and what they mean to the comunity (a mother is a school if you prepare her well you have prepared a well nation that is kind and well hearted)
also ( heaven is underneeth the feet of mothers) this is how much mothers mean in our Islamic nation, for they hold the key to our future.

people always missunderstand and think that jew and christians and Muslims are totaly deffrent where they are extreamly close teachings. most of the basics are the same but there is the first the2 nd and the last, and Islam is the last and only rightful religon, it doesnt mean that we dont beleave in the rest of the religons!! in the contrary we belieave in them all more than you know.

but thier books have been played with and alot of the books have been changed by humans, for that these books are no more gods words. for that god brought into this world the Quran and promissed to protect it alone, even if you change words you wont be able to change it coz Quran is in the memorized by heart for that its impossible to change anything with out it being noticed at once.!!

being a good person and teaching your kids to be good and to have a good heart is a basic Dear, but this basic in our world today seems to be something big although its just a basic!!

for that i would advise you to let them do thier own reserch and thier own readings, let them find out more and understand more, heaven doesnt come by basics, it needs hard work and a real understanding and a strong heart and the facing of hard truths some times. but at the end of the road its heaven and hell we are talking about here!! its not simple.

may god bless you and bless your kids and protect them and protect you from our hard times.

Agree. And thanks to tubavil for getting this going in the first place.

Toward the end of the first thread you mentioned the constitution. IMO in the long run we can deal with the terrorists. Our true and final downfall does not rest in their hands but in the loss of our Constitution. The Constitution is where our true strengh as Americans lies.

"just thought of giving you some information before it hits the brainwashing news coz as i told you before Bush and the white house Gang are going to try in the coming few weeks to give the impression that they are wining the war against Al-Qaida for election perposes."

Well at least he is saying we have a few weeks left. Sounds like he is admitting that nothing is going to happen soon.

The blast effect of a nuclear explosion is first visible as a flash that can cause blindness because of the light intensity. The cause of the damage is retinal injury. The second effect is the blast and concussion wave.

I was taught in the service that even closing your eyes would not help you, you needed to shield your eyes.

The old "duck and cover" drills ( remember them, folks) stressed to cover your eyes with your arm and duck to the ground, under a heavy object.

Retinal damage can extend to a point approximately 50 past the ground zero damage area. Simply put, if the ground zero area is 3 miles, expect retinal damage out to 6-7 miles.

Bad news: in an unexpected event, there is no time to prepare, because the flash is the first event. The bang is second.

(NOTE: I hate being the voice of doom so often in the radiation effects area)

Are there any attacks other than nuclear/fire which could be observed via satellite?

"I only hope that me explaining this will not cause some to go and post crap on it in an effort to get it locked."

I was thinking...why don't you warn these people to stop crying about what they are crying about(fake abuse reports). Then I realized that you can't often tell who it was that hit abuse. Well don't forget that one of them is named "Mercy" and he voluntarly outed himself earlier in this thread.

I would imagine so. Even the old Keyhole satellites could do some amazing work (3 Meter resolution) back in the 60-70's.

I would imagine real time satellite imagery could even pre-empt attacks if they had the heads up.

Gotta say I'm vacilating between the "nothing is going to happen. This is all ridiculous" outlook, and the "Something REALLY bad and outrageous is going to happen" viewpoints.

Every time I try to put this out of my head and write the whole thing off as unsubstantiated internet chatter and not much more, something pulls me back in to worry mode.

Today, I'm having a really, really bad feeling about the next 7 - 10 days. To the point of some serious anxiety. (But, give me a day or two, and I'll be right back into full debunk mode!)

All I can say is..thank heavens we are prepared.

Anyone else having this same feeling?

Hey....good idea. Do you think the battery operated ones will react fast enough. Because then I could even drive around with the helment on.

In the words of Guthery.
