Oh, they were not Americans, they were only Iraqi's, so CNN does not care.

Or perhaps CNN cares more than if they were Americans...

If you believe all that assasination crap then your IQ must be lower than your body temperature...Of course I don't believe ALL of it...
But if you think the Clintons were above "offing" someone to grab and maintain power, then you are not very bright...

But being happy about people dying is an attitude I've only seen on DU and some arab web sites. For the record:
- I am not happy these two particular people have died.
- It makes me sad to hear about innocent people dying.
- I was not expressing my own emotions, nor advocating any particular emotions. I was just making the point that one shouldn't feel guilty about having a positive emotional reaction to the demise of mass murderers or their active supporters.
- I am not accusing the two people who have been killed of having been mass murderers or active supporters of mass murderers. While working for an organization like CNN gives rise a to suspicion of anti-Americanism and all the evil things that come with it, I do presume these two people innocent. (In fact, the driver may completely disagree with what is reported by his employer!)
Hope you find these views acceptable.

Can an American Citizen be against our use of US Ground Forces in Iraq and still be considered loyal to the United States of America?
I'd think I would get a "yes" or a "no."

Can an American Citizen be against our use of US Ground Forces in Iraq and still be considered loyal to the United States of America? Yes, of course.
But this is relevant exactly how? CNN is a little more than "against our use of US Ground Forces in Iraq," to put it mildly.

Do you really mean that? The typical CNN employee may not agree with you or me, which is their right, but I think you have to assume they are loyal to the US of A. Well said, two CNN employees were killed and like any large organization, many that are not on top of the organizational pyramid just may not share the views of the management. They were doing thier job and god bless them for it.

Just checked into a hotel in Norfolk - still doing the same-old - same-old - except the job is really much more exciting since I last talked to you in person. Hope all is well - especially for your son where ever he may be serving. Fair winds and following seas until he returns. Hooah - (Oorahh for me) - S/F - Dave

we will know by whether their report calls the killers "insurgents" or "terrorists"...
To: eccl1212
I don't have cable. Please let me know if CNN calls them "insurgents", "terrorists", "partisans" or "freedom fighters"...
To: Smile-n-Win
But I felt compelled to defend those Freepers whose only sin was to mention the likely allegiances of a typical CNN employee--which are certainly not to the United States of America. What does that have to do with anything? What does that have to do with their deaths? I see the moderators pulled a couple of your posts. Looks like I wasn't the only one who thought you were over the line.

This will be the news story they will run over this:
"Bush is evil. He started this war. He forced us to send our reporters and other personnel there to film the news. After all, we couldn't very well stay out of the most newsworthy stories now could we? He made these people mad at us and now our people are dead. It's all BUSH'S FAULT!!!!"

I wonder if CNN will call these thugs "militants" or "insurgents" or "freedom fighters".
