THE BALKANS: Al Qaeda Looking for Blond Recruits

January 20, 2004: Al Qaeda continues to show up in Bosnia. A Bosnian government official issued a statement asserting that Al Qaeda is looking for young Bosniak Muslims to enlist in a so-called “white Al Qaeda.” Here’s the telling quote, as reported by western sources from a Bosnian Serb newspaper: "Reports by international intelligence services saying that future terrorists will be blue-eyed and blond indicate that Al Qaeda is recruiting in Bosnia-Hercegovina and Kosovo. This is why the authorities should prevent radical Islamists from paying young and poor men to go to battlefields and to die there." The “recruiting” is allegedly done by “non-governmental aid organizations” funded by Islamists.

January 13, 2004: Several sources are once again reporting active Al Qaeda recruitment in Bosnia. These sources run from speculation in the Bosnian press to “unofficial” statements by SFOR. The specific targets of Al Qaeda recruiters are Bosniak Muslims who have become Wahabi (the conservative form of Islam from Saudi Arabia). The Al Qaeda recruiters are identified as Islamist mujahadeen fighters who came to Bosnia for the war against Serbia, married Bosnian women, and have “stayed on” in Bosnia. One report had Bosnian recruits fighting in Chechnya. As Europeans, it is assumed Al Qaeda believes the Bosnians are better able to slip through police and transportation security checks.

I agree. Combine all that with a low IQ score and you've got yourself a terrorist.

The infiltrator would need nerves of steel and a great deal of luck - but yours is a brilliant idea.

I saw a bumper sticker once that read "I'm not a dumb blonde"......Problem was that it was mounted upside down.

If there is one saving grace in this development we probably won't need to fear little old ladies regardless of skin tone.

Not the women aren't capable of these horrors, we've seen evidence to the contrary recently in Israel, it's just that advancing age apparently reduces the fervor to die a hero.

We must be doing something right. Obviously nobody in Al Queada has been anywhere near an airport in the last two years if they think dark skinned folks are more likely to be searched than blondes.

Not to act stupid here....but why don't they just hire a hairdresser to color up some dimwit Arab guy to look like a blonde? With a little make-up, and a little plastic surgery, the guy could look like some whacked up blonde oriental guy.

desperation?

They are WADING in OIL that is sold on an open market for hard cold CASH. There is plenty of money and opportunity. Desperation is a tool used by Islam's regimes. If Arabs are so concerned for the welfare of, lets say, Palestine, throw some big money over there. Why the Islamistfascits got a number on the US when we give them opportunities, is frustrating.

Al-Queeda already has Bosnian connections.

OBL was given Bosnian citizenship..........at the same time Clinton was pumping something like $5 billion into Bosnian coffers.

Clintonistas actively funded, trained, promoted, and worse Bosnian and KLA Jihadistas for 8 long years.

Hundreds (if not thousands) of Al-Queeda recieved their first training in Bosnia & Kosovo courtesy of the Bill and Hillary Clinton. Many Taliban captured in Afghanistan learned their trade in Bosnia & Kosovo.

One could make the argument that if it wasn't for Clinton's support during those 8 years, Al-Queeda would have never grown to the menance it now has become.

Another stupid Serb lie, repeatedly disproven.

Milosevic didn't need Serb citizenship, he was born to it. I don't see you moving to have it revoked.

Yes, if one were a stupid, illiterate, gibbering Serb Nazi with an IQ of 40.

Clinton sat on his a$$ for three and a half years of Serb ethnic cleansing and genocide before the combination of TV pictures and sattelite photography of GENOCIDE forced us to intervene whether the coward wanted us to act or not.

We were morally required to stop Serb Naziism in its tracks. And thank God we did.

For whatever atrocities the Serbs (and other parties in the Balkans committed), the region never represented a security threat to the United States. Now that we've created two lawless Islamic protectorates in the Balkans, we've managed to create safe havens for al Qaeda and Albianian criminal syndicates.

Things would have been much better in Kosovo had Clinton and Albright not forced conflict with their demands at Rambouillet. Milosevic would have been removed from power earlier and the Albanians would have not been allowed to ethnically cleanse the Serbs if UN peacekeepers, instead of bombs, had been used.

The hell you say. Genocide within 400 miles of German soil (or less, if you consider Austria part of the Third Reich historically, as it was at the time) is INHERENTLY a threat to the United States. Genocide in Europe is not to be tolerated and for good reason.

That is possible. I'm not saying that Notsobright didn't botch things related to Kosovo. But they had good reason to put Milosevic out of business; they simply chose the simplest, easiest to understand, wrong approach.

But one cannot call Srebrenica (killing 1% of Bosnian Muslim males in a three day period) anything other than what it was: Genocide. And not to be tolerated.
