Britney as Bond Girl? Aieeee!!
Houston Chronicle ^ | 2/5/2004

Hoping to follow former Bond girls such as Halle Berry, Jane Seymour and Ursula Andress, Britney Spears met in London recently with the producers of the James Bond movies, reportedly at her request.

Spears' Web site says she has signed on to produce and star in an adaptation of author Tobi Tobin's Door to Door, in which she will play a teenager trying to catch her big break in Hollywood.

She used to be cute when she was 18, but she's definitely outgrown that. I was going by looks and not behavior. I got within 5 feet of her a couple years ago when she was back in New Orleans, but didn't get a chance to hit on her. HA! Sadly, I'm old enough to be her father.

but she is a cute little 21 yr old

With the wide set of her eyes, she gives new meaning to binocular vision. I,ve seen rabbits with closer set eyes.

I like to hit Durst--I mean, y'know, like, not 'hit', but hit--with my knuckles. He sucks.

I've got such a thing for Britney. I'd stalk her like a jap fan-boy--uh, if I did that kind of thing...

I'd hit queen latifah.

She looks like she's carrying around a couple of midgets in her shirt.

Now Bond movies are basically cartoons. I guess they are entertaining to some but I hate them. In Dr. No and Goldfinger, From Russia With Love, and Thunderball, Bond did not do anything that a well trained agent couldn't do.

This may sound like an odd perception, but my personal view is that the Bond movies went downhill when they started having totally different theme music on the opening and end titles. To be sure, some of the older Bond title musics have been pretty lackluster (e.g. Thunderball) but for me, the music does a lot to set up the movie. The Man with the Golden Gun may have been a lackluster movie, but the title song was great [actually, perhaps because of the theme song, I wouldn't criticize tMwtGG as severely as some, though I would give it an award for worst sound effect (slide whistle)].

HA! That's a good description.

I think Britney would be much better to stick with Austin Powers and Dr. Evil.

Bond should have died when Mr Connery took a walk.

It's like having Clooney play Batman, it just ain't right. Everyone knows Quahog's own, Adam West, is Batman.

BTW, one habit which Bond movies got into which I rather liked was delaying the appearance of the title until its occurrence in the opening song. I believe almost every movie until View to a Kill did that, with the exception of The Spy Who Loved Me (whose song doesn't use the title until the second verse), Octopussy (whose song doesn't use tht title at all), and Doctor No, From Russia with Love, and On Her Majesty's Secret Service (whose opening title music has no lyrics). I don't know why they got out of that habit--I thought it was kinda neat.
