Hypocrisy Award: an LA Times Cartoon Criticizes the BBC for its "Distorions"
The LA Times just published the following Michael Ramirez cartoon (1/31/04, p. B25) criticizing the BBC for its "Distortions"

This is a case of the pot calling the kettle black.
For many years the LA Times has been widely and roundly (and deservedly) criticized for its agenda-driven, politically manipulative, and acerbically anti-Israel brand of journalism. Most recently, the LA Times was vigorously scorned by many, for its blatant attempt to manipulate the Recall Election.
LA Times distortions, in particular in the area of anti-Israel bias, have been chronicled by Join the Boycott in its ongoing LA Times Watch at

Of course, it is true that the BBC deserves the contempt of all who believe in honest, accurate journalism. But it needs to come from a source other than the LA Times. One that is not tainted with the same media bias. One that has a semblance of credibility when it comes to assessing the distortions of others.

Sort of like Hillary calling Janet Reno evil.
Or Distorians...
