Fantastic. After the Duke, I'd love to see Clark Gable on the next one.

Glenn Miller would be another good choice.

Excellent choice! Glenn Miller's music is timeless.

How about a twofer - a stamp depicting Jimmy Stewart playing Glenn Miller in "The Glenn Miller Story"?

Your Jimmy Stewart referene made me think that. He did an excellent job portraying Glenn Miller, and Miller's music is classic!

My ex-husband's father and mother were very good friends with John Wayne.

Most people remember him as being so tough, but my husband's memories involve a man who would come over and play with him for hours on end. He would take Mike places and they stayed close until John Wayne died.

His mother tells him that Wayne even changed his diapers when he was a baby.

Mike remembers him very fondly.
