Man jailed for luring girl into car released

wmtw Maine

AUBURN (AP) -- A Lewiston man who was charged with luring a 13-year old girl into his car and attempting to entice two others is out of jail.

Jeremy McCown was released from Androscoggin County Jail Sunday serving less than six months following his guilty plea to charges of criminal restraint and assault.

McCown was originally charged with kidnapping and attempted kidnapping last August after a teenage girl said he picked her up in his car and later touched her. Those charges were later dropped as part of a plea agreement.

McCown will serve three years of probation and has been ordered to keep away from any public school.

In the late 1990s, McCown was a defensive tackle with the Lewiston High School football team. He was dishonorably discharged from the U.S. Army about a month before he was charged last summer.

Just another step in pedophilia normalization.

After all, if homosexuality is "normal" so is BESTIALITY!

This is truly an uplifting story of rehabilitation and redemption!  I hope the residents of Lewiston welcome him back with open arms!

What the hell is wrong with the courts?!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If this guy is successful next time.........

If somebody like this were to injure my daughter, I would get vengeance not on him but on the jerks who released him.

I once saw a movie starring Robert Conrad and George Hamilton.

It was called, TWO FATHERS' JUSTICE.

Figure it out.

If it were my child I would make it my goal in life to make this mans days haunted with a constant reminder of his misdeeds. Every where he went and every one he speaks with would know about his perverse and demented tendencies.

I would love to be a juror on a case like the movie described. I can't promise a not-guilty verdict; but I can say that the jury may be a 'hung-jury' as the worst case.

In all seriousness, I'm really surprised that this doesn't happen more often... or really, quite regularly.  I too would exact a horrible vengeance on anyone who harmed either of my children.  A final vengeance.

Obviously, most on FreeRepublic feel the same way (although not all), but I took a survey of 12 co-workers last week and 11 of the 12 said if they were on a jury and presented with a murder case that involved a father bringing justice to someone who attacked their children, they would not convict.

Doesn't seem like there's much to stop an individual from doing this.

,,, when the revolution comes, the jury will do the sentencing as well, leaving the judge as simply a chairman to maintain order and progress the trial. This will bring an end to the legal system and replace it with justice.

This story sounds like it was lifted verbatim from a Steven King novel. In the next chapter, teenagers start disappearing all over rural Maine.

This hump WILL be back in the news. Next time it'll be murder and rape - guaranteed. They don't stop, they escalate.

And ditto to all regarding 'justice' if a family member was assaulted. And I also think you will see it happening more as 'We The People' are getting fed up with the leftist 'gods in robes' and 'the rights of the accussed'.

as many people that know this as there are, do you wonder how the legal system can not find solutions? how come the judges of the world who let these people go are not censored by their piers?

We are always blaming the courts, parole boards, etc. This is a BIG problem, plea bargains. The AG offices plea down charges to avoid having to go to trail.

I hope everyone shows the judge this picture. Because judges are contributing the murder of our future generations, one little girl or boy at a time. Why and how you ask? Because their liberals. And remember, guns don't kill people, liberals do.
