Teachers Treated After Eating Doped Cake

BERLIN (Reuters) - Teachers in a German school were treated in hospital after gobbling up an anonymously donated chocolate cake, unaware it was laced with hashish, authorities said on Thursday.

Some 10 teachers from the school in the northern town of Lueneburg were treated for nausea and dizziness after sharing a cake left at the door to their staff room, a police spokesman said.

"They thought it was food poisoning, but the doctors quickly recognized the problem," the spokesman said. "They showed all the classic signs of people under the influence of drugs."

The spokesman said the teachers had not suspected anything because it was customary for them to buy cakes from the schoolchildren as part of a fund-raising project.

Blood tests and a sample of an uneaten slice of cake revealed it had been doctored with hashish. The teachers were later discharged and police said they had not yet identified who was responsible for the prank.

"They showed all the classic signs of people under the influence of drugs."

As if all drugs caused people to act in identical ways. In this case, you are probably right, they got the munchies and wanted to eat some more cake!

One evening in college one of my dorm buddies jumped out of his chair and yelled, "I'm too high!" and went running from the room.

He ran to the infirmary, banged on the door yelling, "I'm too high! I'm too high!"

Well, Nursey let him in and put him to bed. Next morning he woke up to see the Doctor reading the chart and saying, "Hmm, too high huh?"

"Not anymore," he assured the Doc, and went to breakfast.

BERLIN (Reuters) - Teachers in a German school...

Wow! I'm sure glad they cleared that up. For a minute I thought they were talking about a Californian school.

Brownies and potato chips, they had the MUNCHIES~
Heck we smoked a lot of hashish in college in the late 1960s, all we got was mellow, stoned, and hungry..... And no I don't do it anymore. Thank goodness, I don't need anything that makes me want to eat more~

In the '70's my wife worked in a high-powered stress-filled ad agency. One day a secretary brought in brownies.

Nobody notice much, but for days, people were saying, "Why can't every day be like last Tuesday? It was so nice around here, everyone was in a good mood....

. Could it be that the teachers were aware of an up and coming drug test and baked the cake themselves as a cover story? I submit that there is no way they would have not smelled the hashish in the cake before eating it.

I've never heard of mandatory drug testing being done on private individuals anywhere except here in the "land of the free."
