Statement from Mystery Woman in Kerry Affair Denying story

"For the last several days I have seen Internet and tabloid rumors relating to me and Senator John Kerry. Because these stories were false, I assumed the media would ignore them. It seems that efforts to peddle these lies continue, so I feel compelled to address them. I have never had a relationship with Senator Kerry, and the rumors in the press are completely false. Whoever is spreading these rumors and allegations does not know me, but should know the pain they have caused me and my family. I am in Kenya with my fiance visiting his family, and we ask that the press respect our privacy and leave all of us alone."

Shades of Monica Lewinsky's affidavit.

How many women did Clinton get affidavits from? Anybody remember?

Good catch, if that's her. I don't have time to look into it. She categorically denied being an intern, didn't she?

To all -- Here is the URL for this picture. Suggest you make note of it:

He might be a Republican, but I doubt he's a member of the right wing of the party. I don't believe his news coverage shows much bias to either party...

Well stories he posts links too are pretty much anything. He is very good at scouring the Internet to posts any story that has been printed. It's unfortunate that he has posted stories from tabloids however. However, I haven't read any stories that he has written "The Drudge Specials" that attacked, were critical of, or negative concerning Republicans. That is why I say he seems pretty right wing.

P.S DRUDGE LOOKS BADDDDDDDDDDDdddddd

A few days ago I posted something suggesting that people should not be too ready to get real excited about this story, because it could easily be a setup intended to make Republicans look bad.

Remember when Drudge got set up with that stuff about Sid Vicious allegedly beating his wife?

It would almost be too easy for them to pull something like that. Leak a bogus rumor -- themselves -- and then wait for the other side to smell the (imaginary) blood, give it a week or so for the "story" to gain traction, and then step to the fore to show how "the other side" is "engaging in the politics of personal destruction" using "the most despicable of lies, slander, and personal attacks against an innocent man."

If your attack is going too well, it's an ambush.

Anyway, at this point, I think the best tack by conservatives is to use the "development" of this story to illustrate the media's double standard; and to continue to point out that the Pollier/Kerry story originated with a Democrat.

It won't matter, trust me on that. You can make book on it.

It won't matter.

"Willie Horton" started with a Democrat (Gore's operatives, if I recall correctly).

"Jack-booted Thugs" began with a Democrat (John Dingell).

In both cases, Republicans took the heat.

In both cases, the provenance of both items was well-documented -- repeatedly -- as originating with Democrats.

In neither case did it matter one whit. Republicans continued to -- and continue to -- take the heat for Democrat-sourced items.

Unless there's some new set of rules in effect, I fail to see how getting the news out that this item originated with a Democrat will be of any benefit at all, other than to remind Republicans of the monumentally craven and hypocritical behavior of the left.

Everyone is using the same term...relationship..I went right to the dictionary. It comes with a qualifier...."vague". The same qualifier is attached to the word "affair".

Polier also took issue with reports that referred to her as a former Kerry intern.

"I never interned or worked for John Kerry," she told AP over the phone.

Thatis a crock:

The woman sitting down in the color photo is the woman in the black and white photo.

She is lying.

This statement was written with the goal of subconscious transmutation:

"We have spoken to our daughter and the allegations that have been made regarding her are completely false and unsubstantiated. We love and support her Senator Kerry 100 percent and these unfounded rumors are hurtful to our entire family nation. We appreciate the way Senator Kerry has handled the situation, and intend on voting for him for president of the United States."

Quite a few others and I also had this opinion. Perhaps it was a setup to make the right-wing media look bad, thus innoculating Kerry against future charges of infidelity, no matter how true.
