KATIE COURIC LOOKS INTO THE SCANDAL THAT ROCKED THE NEW YORK TIMES
Exclusive First Interview with Jayson Blair airs Friday, March 5th on "Dateline NBC" and Monday, March 8th on "Today"
NEW YORK -- February 19, 2004 -- When Jayson Blair's lies, fabrications and plagiarism at the New York Times were discovered last may, the scandal shook journalism to its very foundation. In an exclusive interview, Katie Couric interviews Jayson Blair, the man responsible for one of the most embarrassing chapters in the history of the New York Times. The interview airs Friday, March 5th on "Dateline NBC"(9pm). Blair will also appear live on "Today," Monday, March 8th (7-10am).
Couric talks to Blair about his attempt to come clean in a new book, "Burning Down My Masters' House." The book deal, and its provocative title have made him the target of a barrage of criticism. The report will also include interviews with industry experts who will discuss how something like this could happen and how journalism can recover from a scandal of this nature.
David Corvo is the executive producer of "Dateline NBC." Tom Touchet is the executive producer of "Today."

According to usually reliable sources the interview and the book cover the following themes in impressive depth: Racism, racism and racism!

The real problem is the mentality: "Burning Down My Masters' House."
Think it, Live it. "The last plantation exists in the mind."

Excuse the intrusion. I must have read the title wrong. I thought it said "Jack The Ripper interviews The Hillside Strangler." Sorry to have interupted. I'll just back quietly out the door now.

Not surprised NBC would put on a freak show with a schizophrenic liar. Back when Clinton was in office they did the same thing with a psychopathic liar.

An elegant equation.

Take notes for me. I won't be watching. I don't think that there is anything that NBC carries that we watch.
Pukey's morning hate talk charade heads the list of what we don't watch.

So discredited journo Jayson Blair gets a book deal and wall-to-wall media coverage for deceiving his bosses and lying to readers.
Wow, that's almost as good as the media coverage he'd have gotten if Jayson had been a serial killer.
Too bad Jayson went into journalism instead although in the mind of many, serial killer and journalism are related occupations.

Is Katie pretending to be a journalist again? An 'investigative journalist' no less! ROFL.
Blair 'serially killed' the last shred of credibility of the NYT. Perhaps we could get him to write about the Dems?
